antar alakh. na jaaee lakhiaa; vich parradaa haumai paaee |
ਅਬੋਧ ਸਾਈਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਏ ਹੋਏ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਦੇ ਸਬਬ ਉਹ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।
The Unseen Lord is deep within the self; He cannot be seen; the curtain of egotism intervenes.
ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹਿ ਸਭੋ ਜਗੁ ਸੋਇਆ; ਇਹੁ ਭਰਮੁ. ਕਹਹੁ ਕਿਉ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥

ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦੱਸੋ! ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
In emotional attachment to Maya, all the world is asleep. Tell me, how can this doubt be dispelled? ||1||
ਏਕਾ ਸੰਗਤਿ. ਇਕਤੁ ਗਿ੍ਰਹਿ ਬਸਤੇ; ਮਿਲਿ ਬਾਤ. ਨ ਕਰਤੇ ਭਾਈ ॥
ekaa sangat. ikat grihi basate; mil baat. na karate bhaaee |
ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ-ਆਤਮਾ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਤ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਉਹ ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ, ਹੈ ਵੀਰ!
The one lives together with the other in the same house, but they do not talk to one another, O Siblings of Destiny.
ਏਕ ਬਸਤੁ ਬਿਨੁ. ਪੰਚ ਦੁਹੇਲੇ; ਓਹ ਬਸਤੁ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਠਾਈ ॥੨॥
ek basat bin. panch duhele; oeh basat agochar tthaaee |2|
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇਕ ਵੱਖਰ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਪੰਜੇ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰੇ ਦੁਖ ਹਨ! ਉਹ ਵੱਖਰ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤੋਂ ਪਰੇ ਜਗ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
Without the one substance, the five are miserable; that substance is in the unapproachable place. ||2||
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਗਿ੍ਰਹੁ, ਤਿਨਿ ਦੀਆ ਤਾਲਾ; ਕੁੰਜੀ. ਗੁਰ ਸਉਪਾਈ ॥
jis kaa grihu, tin deea taalaa; kunjee. gur saupaaee |
ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਿੰਦ੍ਰਾ ਲਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਚਾਬੀ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੌਪ ਦਿਤੀ ਹੈ।
And the one whose home it is, has locked it up, and given the key to the Guru.
ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਵ ਕਰੇ. ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵੈ; ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੩॥
anik upaav kare. nahee paavai; bin satigur saranaaee |3|
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵੀ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਚਾਬੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
You may make all sorts of efforts, but it cannot be obtained, without the Sanctuary of the True Guru. ||3||
ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਬੰਧਨ. ਕਾਟੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ; ਤਿਨ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥
jin ke bandhan. kaatte satigur; tin saadhasangat liv laaee |
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੇੜੀਆਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੰਢ ਸੁੱਟੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those whose bonds have been broken by the True Guru, enshrine love for the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਪੰਚ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ. ਮੰਗਲੁ ਗਾਇਆ; ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ. ਭੇਦੁ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੪॥
panch janaa mil. mangal gaaeaa; har naanak. bhed na bhaaee |4|
ਚੋਣਵੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਇਕੰਠੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੋਈ ਫਰਕ ਨਹੀਂ, ਹੈ ਭਰਾ।
The self-elect, the self-realized beings, meet together and sing the joyous songs of the Lord. Nanak, there is no difference between them, O Siblings of Destiny. ||4||
ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਇ; ਇਨ ਬਿਧਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥
mere raam raae; in bidh milai gusaaee |
ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਲਕ, ਆਲਮ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਇਸ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
This is how my Sovereign Lord King, the Lord of the Universe, is met;
ਸਹਜੁ ਭਇਆ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਠਾ; ਮਿਲਿ ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧॥੧੨੨॥
sehaj bheaa bhram khin meh naatthaa; mil jotee jot samaaee |1| rahaau doojaa |1|122|
ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਅਨੰਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਵਹਿਮ ਇਕ ਮੁਹਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੌੜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਨੂਰ ਪਰਮ-ਨੂਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ।
celestial bliss is attained in an instant, and doubt is dispelled. Meeting Him, my light merges in the Light. ||1||Second Pause||1||122||

ਅਹੋ ਜੇਹੀ ਯਾਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨਾਲ ਪੈ ਗਈ ਹੈ,
I am intimate with Him;
ਕਰੀ ਕਿ੍ਰਪਾ ਦਇਆਲ ਬੀਠੁਲੈ; ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮੁਝਹਿ ਬਤਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਆਪਣੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
granting His Grace, my Kind Beloved has told me of the True Guru. ||1||Pause||
ਜਤ ਕਤ ਦੇਖਉ. ਤਤ ਤਤ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ; ਮੋਹਿ. ਇਹੁ ਬਿਸੁਆਸੁ ਹੋਇ ਆਇਓ ॥
jat kat dekhau. tat tat tum hee; mohi. ihu bisuaas hoe aaeo |
ਜਿਥੇ ਕਿਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰਾ ਹੁਣ ਪੱਕਾ ਯਕੀਨ ਬੱਝ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
Wherever I look, there You are; I am totally convinced of this.
ਕੈ ਪਹਿ ਕਰਉ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਬੇਨਤੀ; ਜਉ. ਸੁਨਤੋ ਹੈ ਰਘੁਰਾਇਓ ॥੧॥
kai peh krau aradaas benatee; jau. sunato hai raghuraaeo |1|
ਮੈਂ ਕੀਹਦੇ ਪਾਸ ਜੋਦੜੀ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਾ ਕਰਾਂ, ਜਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਝ ਖੁਦ ਸੁਣ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
Unto whom should I pray? The Lord Himself hears all. ||1||
ਲਹਿਓ ਸਹਸਾ. ਬੰਧਨ, ਗੁਰਿ ਤੋਰੇ; ਤਾਂ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ॥
lahio sahasaa. bandhan, gur tore; taan sadaa sehaj sukh paaeo |
ਮੇਰਾ ਫਿਕਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬੇੜੀਆਂ ਕਟ ਛਡੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਪਰਮਆਨੰਦ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
My anxiety is over. The Guru has cut away my bonds, and I have found eternal peace.
ਹੋਣਾ ਸਾ ਸੋਈ ਫੁਨਿ ਹੋਸੀ; ਸੁਖੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਹਾ ਦਿਖਾਇਓ ॥੨॥
honaa saa soee fun hosee; sukh dukh kahaa dikhaaeo |2|
ਜੋ ਕੁਛ ਭੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਹੈ, ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਜਰੂਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਅਤੇ ਗ਼ਮੀ ਤਦੋਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਵੇਖੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ?
Whatever shall be, shall be in the end; so where can pain and pleasure be seen? ||2||
ਖੰਡ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡ ਕਾ ਏਕੋ ਠਾਣਾ; ਗੁਰਿ. ਪਰਦਾ ਖੋਲਿ ਦਿਖਾਇਓ ॥
khandd brahamandd kaa eko tthaanaa; gur. paradaa khol dikhaaeo |
ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਖਿੱਤਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਮੰਡਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਹੀ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ। ਪੜਦਾ ਪਰੇ ਕਰ ਕੇ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵਿਖਾਲ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ।
The continents and the solar systems rest in the support of the One Lord. The Guru has removed the veil of illusion, and shown this to me.
ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ, ਇਕ ਠਾਈ; ਤਉ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਕੈਠੈ ਜਾਇਓ ॥੩॥
nau nidh naam nidhaan, ik tthaaee; tau baahar kaitthai jaaeo |3|
ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਦੇ ਨੌ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਇਕ ਜਗ੍ਹਾਂ (ਮਨ) ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਤਦ, ਬੰਦਾ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਬਾਹਰਲੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਵੇ?
The nine treasures of the wealth of the Name of the Lord are in that one place. Where else should we go? ||3||
ਏਕੈ ਕਨਿਕ ਅਨਿਕ ਭਾਤਿ ਸਾਜੀ; ਬਹੁ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਰਚਾਇਓ ॥

ਓਹੀ ਸੋਨਾ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸਰੂਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੜਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਏਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ੍ਰੂ ਨੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਵੰਨਗੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ।
The same gold is fashioned into various articles; just so, the Lord has made the many patterns of the creation.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ. ਭਰਮੁ, ਗੁਰਿ ਖੋਈ ਹੈ; ਇਵ ਤਤੈ ਤਤੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਓ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੨੩॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਵਹਿਮ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ। ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਜੇਵਰ ਅੰਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਏਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਨੁਖੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ, ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Says Nanak, the Guru has dispelled my doubt; in this way, my essence merges into God's essence. ||4||2||123||

ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਉਮਰ ਘਟ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
This life is diminishing, day and night.
ਮਨ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ; ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
man gur mil; kaaj savaare |1| rahaau |
ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਰਜ ਰਾਸ ਕਰ ਲੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
Meeting with the Guru, your affairs shall be resolved. ||1||Pause||
ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ. ਸੁਨਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤਾ; ਸੰਤ ਟਹਲ ਕੀ ਬੇਲਾ ॥
krau benantee. sunahu mere meetaa; sant ttehal kee belaa |
ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਕਰ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸੁਹਾਉਣਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਹੈ।
Listen, my friends, I beg of you: now is the time to serve the Saints!
ਈਹਾ. ਖਾਟਿ ਚਲਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਹਾ; ਆਗੈ ਬਸਨੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ॥੧॥
eehaa. khaatt chalahu har laahaa; aagai basan suhelaa |1|
ਏਥੋ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਖੱਟੀ ਖਟ ਕੇ ਚਾਲੇ ਪਾ। ਪ੍ਰਲੋਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
In this world, earn the profit of the Lord's Name, and hereafter, you shall dwell in peace. ||1||
ਇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਬਿਕਾਰੁ ਸਹਸੇ ਮਹਿ; ਤਰਿਓ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ॥
eihu sansaar bikaar sahase meh; tario braham giaanee |
ਇਹ ਜਹਾਨ ਬਦਫੈਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਲਤਾਨ ਹੈ। ਕੇਵਲ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਾ ਹੀ ਬਚਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
This world is engrossed in corruption and cynicism. Only those who know God are saved.
ਜਿਸਹਿ ਜਗਾਇ ਪੀਆਏ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ; ਅਕਥ ਕਥਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਜਾਨੀ ॥੨॥
jiseh jagaae peeae har ras; akath kathaa tin jaanee |2|
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੀ ਜਗਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਜੌਹਰ ਛਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਨਾਂ ਬਿਆਨ ਹੋ ਸਕਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਗਿਆਨ ਗੋਸ਼ਟ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who are awakened by the Lord to drink in this sublime essence, come to know the Unspoken Speech of the Lord. ||2||
ਜਾ ਕਉ ਆਏ. ਸੋਈ ਵਿਹਾਝਹੁ; ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਮਨਹਿ ਬਸੇਰਾ ॥
jaa kau aae. soee vihaajhahu; har gur te maneh baseraa |
ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ ਸੌਦਾ ਖਰੀਦ ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਕਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ।
Purchase only that for which you have come into the world, and through the Guru, the Lord shall dwell within your mind.
ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜੇ; ਬਹੁਰਿ. ਨ ਹੋਇਗੋ ਫੇਰਾ ॥੩॥
nij ghar mehal paavahu sukh sahaje; bahur. na hoeigo feraa |3|
ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿਜ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਚੈਨ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਗੇੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਵੇਗਾ।
Within the home of your own inner being, you shall obtain the Mansion of the Lord's Presence with intuitive ease. You shall not be consigned again to the wheel of reincarnation. ||3||
ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ; ਸਰਧਾ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਪੂਰੇ ॥
antarajaamee purakh bidhaate; saradhaa man kee poore |
ਹੈ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਢੋ ਮੇਲ ਮੇਲਣਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀ ਸੱਧਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ।
O Inner-knower, Searcher of hearts, Primal Being, Architect of Destiny: please fulfill this yearning of my mind.
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਦਾਸੁ. ਇਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਗੈ; ਮੋ ਕਉ ਕਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰੇ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੨੪॥

ਨੋਕਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਸ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਯਾਚਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਬਣਾ ਲੈ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ!
Nanak, Your slave, begs for this happiness: let me be the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||4||3||124||

ਰਾਖੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥

ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਬਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ!
Save me, O My Father God.
ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਨੁ; ਸਭ ਗੁਨ ਤੇਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਮੈਂ ਨੇਕੀ ਵਿਹੁਣ ਹਾਂ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇਕੀਆਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾੳ।
I am worthless and without virtue; all virtues are Yours. ||1||Pause||
ਪੰਚ ਬਿਖਾਦੀ. ਏਕੁ ਗਰੀਬਾ; ਰਾਖਹੁ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੇ ॥

ਹੈ ਬਚਾਉਣਹਾਰ! ਪੰਜ ਝਗੜਾਲੂ ਪਾਪ, ਮੈਂ ਇਕੱਲੜੀ ਗਰੀਬ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ ਹਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ।
The five vicious thieves are assaulting my poor being; save me, O Savior Lord!
ਖੇਦੁ ਕਰਹਿ. ਅਰੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਸੰਤਾਵਹਿ; ਆਇਓ ਸਰਨਿ ਤੁਹਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
khed kareh. ar bahut santaaveh; aaeo saran tuhaare |1|
ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁਖ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਤਿਅੰਤ ਤੰਗ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
They are tormenting and torturing me. I have come, seeking Your Sanctuary. ||1||
