ਰਚਿ ਰਚਨਾ; ਅਪਨੀ ਕਲ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
rach rachanaa; apanee kal dhaaree |
ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਜ ਕੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਤਿਆ ਇਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਫੂਕੀ ਹੈ।
Having created the creation, He infuses His own power into it.
ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ; ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥੮॥੧੮॥
anik baar; naanak balihaaree |8|18|
ਨਾਨਕ ਉਸ ਉਤੋਂ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਵਾਰੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
So many times, Nanak is a sacrifice to Him. ||8||18||

ਸਾਥਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ. ਬਿਨੁ ਭਜਨ; ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸਗਲੀ ਛਾਰੁ ॥
saath na chaalai. bin bhajan; bikhiaa sagalee chhaar |
ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੁਛ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ, ਹੇ ਬੰਦੇ! ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਨਾਸਕ ਪਾਪ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੁਆਹ ਹਨ।
Nothing shall go along with you, except your devotion. All corruption is like ashes.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਮਾਵਨਾ; ਨਾਨਕ. ਇਹੁ ਧਨੁ ਸਾਰੁ ॥੧॥

Practice the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. O Nanak, this is the most excellent wealth. ||1||

ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰ।
Joining the Company of the Saints, practice deep meditation.
ਏਕੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ; ਨਾਮ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
ek simar; naam aadhaar |
ਇਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਲੈ।
Remember the One, and take the Support of the Naam, the Name of the Lord.
ਅਵਰਿ ਉਪਾਵ ਸਭਿ; ਮੀਤ ਬਿਸਾਰਹੁ ॥
avar upaav sabh; meet bisaarahu |
ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਪਰਾਲੇ ਭੁਲਾ ਦੇ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ!
Forget all other efforts, O my friend
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ; ਰਿਦ ਮਹਿ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਹੁ ॥
charan kamal; rid meh ur dhaarahu |
ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਕੰਵਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾ।
- enshrine the Lord's Lotus Feet within your heart.
ਕਰਨ ਕਾਰਨ; ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਮਰਥੁ ॥
karan kaaran; so prabh samarath |
ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਕ ਹੈ।
God is All-powerful; He is the Cause of causes.
ਦਿ੍ਰੜੁ ਕਰਿ ਗਹਹੁ; ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਵਥੁ ॥
drirr kar gahahu; naam har vath |
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਵਸਤੂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਘੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਪਕੜ ਲੈ।
Grasp firmly the object of the Lord's Name.
ਇਹੁ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਹੁ; ਹੋਵਹੁ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥
eihu dhan sanchahu; hovahu bhagavant |
ਇਸ ਦੌਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ।
Gather this wealth, and become very fortunate.
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਾ; ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮੰਤ ॥
sant janaa kaa; niramal mant |
ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਸਾਧ ਰੂਪ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦਾ।
Pure are the instructions of the humble Saints.
ਏਕ ਆਸ; ਰਾਖਹੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
ek aas; raakhahu man maeh |
ਇੱਕ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੱਖ।
Keep faith in the One Lord within your mind.
ਸਰਬ ਰੋਗ; ਨਾਨਕ. ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧॥
sarab rog; naanak. mitt jaeh |1|
ਨਾਨਕ, ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਬੀਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਹਟ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ।
All disease, O Nanak, shall then be dispelled. ||1||
ਜਿਸੁ ਧਨ ਕਉ; ਚਾਰਿ ਕੁੰਟ ਉਠਿ ਧਾਵਹਿ ॥
jis dhan kau; chaar kuntt utth dhaaveh |
ਜਿਸ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਚਹੂੰ ਪਾਸੀ ਭੱਜਿਆ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
The wealth which you chase after in the four directions
ਸੋ ਧਨੁ; ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਤੇ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥
so dhan; har sevaa te paaveh |
ਉਹ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
you shall obtain that wealth by serving the Lord.
ਜਿਸੁ ਸੁਖ ਕਉ; ਨਿਤ ਬਾਛਹਿ ਮੀਤ ॥
jis sukh kau; nit baachheh meet |
ਜਿਸ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਤੂੰ ਨਿਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ!
The peace, which you always yearn for, O friend
ਸੋ ਸੁਖੁ; ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਰੀਤਿ ॥
so sukh; saadhoo sang pareet |
ਉਹ ਆਰਾਮ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕਰਨ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।
that peace comes by the love of the Company of the Holy.
ਜਿਸੁ ਸੋਭਾ ਕਉ; ਕਰਹਿ ਭਲੀ ਕਰਨੀ ॥
jis sobhaa kau; kareh bhalee karanee |
ਜਿਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਤਾ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਚੰਗੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
The glory, for which you perform good deeds
ਸਾ ਸੋਭਾ; ਭਜੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਨੀ ॥
saa sobhaa; bhaj har kee saranee |
ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਨੱਸ ਕੇ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ।
- you shall obtain that glory by seeking the Lord's Sanctuary.
ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਵੀ; ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥
anik upaavee; rog na jaae |
ਜਿਹੜੀ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਘਣੇਰੇ ਇਲਾਜਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਟਦੀ,
All sorts of remedies have not cured the disease
ਰੋਗੁ ਮਿਟੈ; ਹਰਿ ਅਵਖਧੁ ਲਾਇ ॥
rog mittai; har avakhadh laae |
ਉਹ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਵਾਈ ਲਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹਟ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
- the disease is cured only by giving the medicine of the Lord's Name.
ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਮਹਿ; ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥
sarab nidhaan meh; har naam nidhaan |
ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪਰਮ ਸਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਹੈ।
Of all treasures, the Lord's Name is the supreme treasure.
ਜਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ; ਦਰਗਹਿ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥੨॥
jap naanak; darageh paravaan |2|
ਇਸ ਸਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਤੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Chant it, O Nanak, and be accepted in the Court of the Lord. ||2||
ਮਨੁ ਪਰਬੋਧਹੁ; ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਇ ॥
man parabodhahu; har kai naae |
ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਿਖ-ਮਤ ਦੇ।
Enlighten your mind with the Name of the Lord.
ਦਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਧਾਵਤ; ਆਵੈ ਠਾਇ ॥
deh dis dhaavat; aavai tthaae |
ਦਸੀਂ ਪਾਸੀਂ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਇਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਆ ਜਾਏਗਾ।
Having wandered around in the ten directions, it comes to its place of rest.
ਤਾ ਕਉ ਬਿਘਨੁ; ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਕੋਇ ॥
taa kau bighan; na laagai koe |
ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਦਾ,
No obstacle stands in the way of one
ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਿਦੈ; ਬਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਸੋਇ ॥
jaa kai ridai; basai har soe |
ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
whose heart is filled with the Lord.
ਕਲਿ ਤਾਤੀ; ਠਾਂਢਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਉ ॥
kal taatee; tthaandtaa har naau |
ਇਹ ਕਲਜੁਗ ਤੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਠੰਢਾ ਹੈ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ।
The Dark Age of Kali Yuga is so hot; the Lord's Name is soothing and cool.
ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ; ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਉ ॥
simar simar; sadaa sukh paau |
ਯਾਦ ਕਰ, ਯਾਦ ਕਰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਆਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ।
Remember, remember it in meditation, and obtain everlasting peace.
ਭਉ ਬਿਨਸੈ; ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਇ ਆਸ ॥
bhau binasai; pooran hoe aas |
ਤੇਰਾ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
Your fear shall be dispelled, and your hopes shall be fulfilled.
ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਇ; ਆਤਮ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥
bhagat bhaae; aatam paragaas |
ਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਰੌਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
By devotional worship and loving adoration, your soul shall be enlightened.
ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਬਸੈ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥
tit ghar jaae basai abinaasee |
ਤੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸੇਬਾ ਪਾ ਲਵੇਗਾ,
You shall go to that home, and live forever.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ; ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਫਾਸੀ ॥੩॥
kahu naanak; kaattee jam faasee |3|
ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਫਿਰ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਕੱਟੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
Says Nanak, the noose of death is cut away. ||3||
ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ; ਕਹੈ ਜਨੁ ਸਾਚਾ ॥
tat beechaar; kahai jan saachaa |
ਓਹੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਾਰ-ਵਸਤੂ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who contemplates the essence of reality, is said to be the true person.
ਜਨਮਿ ਮਰੈ; ਸੋ ਕਾਚੋ ਕਾਚਾ ॥
janam marai; so kaacho kaachaa |
ਕੂੜਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਕੂੜਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ, ਜੋ ਆਵਾਗਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Birth and death are the lot of the false and the insincere.
ਆਵਾ ਗਵਨੁ ਮਿਟੈ; ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੇਵ ॥
aavaa gavan mittai; prabh sev |
ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਆਉਣਾ ਤੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਮੁਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Coming and going in reincarnation is ended by serving God.
ਆਪੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ; ਸਰਨਿ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
aap tiaag; saran guradev |
ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਛੱਡ ਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲੈ।
Give up your selfishness and conceit, and seek the Sanctuary of the Divine Guru.
ਇਉ ਰਤਨ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ; ਹੋਇ ਉਧਾਰੁ ॥
eiau ratan janam kaa; hoe udhaar |
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅਣਮੁੱਲੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Thus the jewel of this human life is saved.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ; ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥
har har simar; praan aadhaar |
ਤੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਾਲਕ ਦਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰ, ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ-ਜਾਨ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।
Remember the Lord, Har, Har, the Support of the breath of life.
ਅਨਿਕ ਉਪਾਵ; ਨ ਛੂਟਨਹਾਰੇ ॥
anik upaav; na chhoottanahaare |
ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਅ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਉਪਰਾਲਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ
By all sorts of efforts, people are not saved
ਸਿੰਮਿ੍ਰਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ; ਬੇਦ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
sinmrit saasat; bed beechaare |
ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਤੀਆਂ, ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੋਖਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ।
not by studying the Simritees, the Shaastras or the Vedas.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ; ਕਰਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਇ ॥
har kee bhagat; karahu man laae |
ਤੂੰ ਦਿਲ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ।
Worship the Lord with whole-hearted devotion.
ਮਨਿ ਬੰਛਤ; ਨਾਨਕ. ਫਲ ਪਾਇ ॥੪॥
man banchhat; naanak. fal paae |4|
ਇੰਜ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ-ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਮੇਵਾ ਪਾ ਲਵੇਗਾ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ!
O Nanak, you shall obtain the fruits of your mind's desire. ||4||
ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲਸਿ; ਤੇਰੈ ਧਨਾ ॥
sang na chaalas; terai dhanaa |
ਦੌਲਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣੀ।
Your wealth shall not go with you;
ਤੂੰ ਕਿਆ ਲਪਟਾਵਹਿ; ਮੂਰਖ ਮਨਾ ॥
toon kiaa lapattaaveh; moorakh manaa |
ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਚਿਮੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਮੂੜ੍ਹ ਜਿੰਦੜੀਏ?
why do you cling to it, you fool?
ਸੁਤ ਮੀਤ; ਕੁਟੰਬ ਅਰੁ ਬਨਿਤਾ ॥
sut meet; kuttanb ar banitaa |
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ, ਟੱਬਰ ਕਬੀਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਹੁਟੀ,
Children, friends, family and spouse
ਇਨ ਤੇ. ਕਹਹੁ ਤੁਮ; ਕਵਨ ਸਨਾਥਾ ॥
ein te. kahahu tum; kavan sanaathaa |
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋ, ਤੂੰ ਦੱਸ, ਕੌਣ ਕਦੋ ਕਿਰਤਾਰਥ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ?
who of these shall accompany you?
ਰਾਜ ਰੰਗ; ਮਾਇਆ ਬਿਸਥਾਰ ॥
raaj rang; maaeaa bisathaar |
ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ, ਰੰਗ-ਰਲੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਧਨ-ਦੌਲਤ ਦਾ ਖਿਲਾਰਾ,
Power, pleasure, and the vast expanse of Maya
ਇਨ ਤੇ ਕਹਹੁ; ਕਵਨ ਛੁਟਕਾਰ ॥
ein te kahahu; kavan chhuttakaar |
ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋ ਦੱਸੋ ਕੌਣ ਕਦੋ ਬਚਿਆ ਹੈ?
who has ever escaped from these?
ਅਸੁ ਹਸਤੀ; ਰਥ ਅਸਵਾਰੀ ॥
as hasatee; rath asavaaree |
ਘੋੜੇ, ਹਾਥੀ, ਗੱਡੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਵਾਰੀਆਂ,
Horses, elephants, chariots and pageantry
ਝੂਠਾ ਡੰਫੁ; ਝੂਠੁ ਪਾਸਾਰੀ ॥
jhootthaa ddanf; jhootth paasaaree |
ਕੂੜੇ ਦਿਖਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੂੜੇ ਖਿਲਾਰੇ ਹਨ।

ਜਿਨਿ ਦੀਏ; ਤਿਸੁ ਬੁਝੈ ਨ. ਬਿਗਾਨਾ ॥
jin dee; tis bujhai na. bigaanaa |
ਬੇਸਮਝ ਬੰਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
The fool does not acknowledge the One who gave this;
ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ; ਨਾਨਕ. ਪਛੁਤਾਨਾ ॥੫॥
naam bisaar; naanak. pachhutaanaa |5|
ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਭੁਲਾ ਕੇ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ, ਆਖਰਕਾਰ ਪਸਚਾਤਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
forgetting the Naam, O Nanak, he will repent in the end. ||5||
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਮਤਿ; ਤੂੰ ਲੇਹਿ ਇਆਨੇ ॥
gur kee mat; toon lehi eaane |
ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਖ-ਮਤ ਲੈ, ਹੈ ਭੋਲੇ ਬੰਦੇ!
Take the Guru's advice, you ignorant fool;
ਭਗਤਿ ਬਿਨਾ; ਬਹੁ ਡੂਬੇ ਸਿਆਨੇ ॥
bhagat binaa; bahu ddoobe siaane |
ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਘਣੇਰੇ ਅਕਲਮੰਦ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਡੁੱਬ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
without devotion, even the clever have drowned.
ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਗਤਿ; ਕਰਹੁ ਮਨ ਮੀਤ ॥
har kee bhagat; karahu man meet |
ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਮਾ, ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ!
Worship the Lord with heart-felt devotion, my friend;
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਇ; ਤੁਮੑਾਰੋ ਚੀਤ ॥
niramal hoe; tumaaro cheet |
ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਮਨ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਏਗਾ।
your consciousness shall become pure.
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ; ਰਾਖਹੁ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
charan kamal; raakhahu man maeh |
ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਕੰਵਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾ,
Enshrine the Lord's Lotus Feet in your mind;
