ਜਹ ਅਛਲ ਅਛੇਦ; ਅਭੇਦ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥
jeh achhal achhed; abhed samaaeaa |
ਜਿਥੇ ਨਾਂ ਠੱਗਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਣ ਰਹਿਤ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਤ-ਰਹਿਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਦੇ ਆਪ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੀਨ ਸੀ,
When the Undeceiveable, Impenetrable, Inscrutable One was self-absorbed,
ਊਹਾ; ਕਿਸਹਿ ਬਿਆਪਤ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
aoohaa; kiseh biaapat maaeaa |
ਉਥੇ ਮੌਹਣੀ ਕੀਹਦੇ ਉਤੇ ਅਸਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ?
then who was swayed by Maya?
ਆਪਸ ਕਉ; ਆਪਹਿ ਆਦੇਸੁ ॥
aapas kau; aapeh aades |
ਜਦ ਖੁਦ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ,
When He paid homage to Himself,
ਤਿਹੁ ਗੁਣ ਕਾ; ਨਾਹੀ ਪਰਵੇਸੁ ॥
tihu gun kaa; naahee paraves |
ਤਦ ਤਿੰਨੇ ਲੱਛਣ ਜੱਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
then the three qualities were not prevailing.
ਜਹ ਏਕਹਿ ਏਕ; ਏਕ ਭਗਵੰਤਾ ॥
jeh ekeh ek; ek bhagavantaa |
ਜਿਥੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਸੀ,
When there was only the One, the One and Only Lord God,
ਤਹ ਕਉਨੁ ਅਚਿੰਤੁ; ਕਿਸੁ ਲਾਗੈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ॥
teh kaun achint; kis laagai chintaa |
ਉੱਥੇ ਕੌਣ ਬੇਫਿਕਰ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਕਰ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ?
then who was not anxious, and who felt anxiety?
ਜਹ ਆਪਨ ਆਪੁ; ਆਪਿ ਪਤੀਆਰਾ ॥
jeh aapan aap; aap pateeaaraa |
ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨਾਲ ਖੁਦ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟ ਸੀ,
When He Himself was satisfied with Himself,
ਤਹ ਕਉਨੁ ਕਥੈ; ਕਉਨੁ ਸੁਨਨੈਹਾਰਾ ॥
teh kaun kathai; kaun sunanaihaaraa |
ਉੱਥੇ ਕੌਣ ਕਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੌਣ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ?
then who spoke and who listened?
ਬਹੁ ਬੇਅੰਤ; ਊਚ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ॥
bahu beant; aooch te aoochaa |
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਮ ਅਨੰਤ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਲੰਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਬੁਲੰਦ ਹੈ।
He is vast and infinite, the highest of the high.
ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਸ ਕਉ; ਆਪਹਿ ਪਹੂਚਾ ॥੬॥
naanak aapas kau; aapeh pahoochaa |6|
ਨਾਨਕ, ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹੀ, ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਤੱਕ ਪਹੁੰਚਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, He alone can reach Himself. ||6||
