ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ।

Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਜੇਕਰ ਨੰਗੇ ਫਿਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਹਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਪ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ,

If Yoga could be obtained by wandering around naked,

ਤਾਂ ਜੰਗਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹਰਨ ਮੁਕਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ।

then all the deer of the forest would be liberated. ||1||

ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਜੇਕਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੰਗਾ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ (ਹਰਨ ਦੀ) ਖੱਲ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,

What does it matter whether someone goes naked, or wears a deer skin,

ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

if he does not remember the Lord within his soul? ||1||Pause||

ਜੇਕਰ ਸਿਰ ਮੁੰਨਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪੂਰਨਤਾ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੋਵੇ,

If the spiritual perfection of the Siddhas could be obtained by shaving the head,

ਤਾਂ ਭੇਡ ਲਈ ਤਾਂ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਕਿਧਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਈ।

then why haven't sheep found liberation? ||2||

ਜੇਕਰ ਜਤ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਦਾ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਹੇ ਭਰਾ!

If someone could save himself by celibacy, O Siblings of Destiny,

ਤਾਂ ਹੀਜੜਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾਂ ਮਹਾਨ-ਮਰਤਬਾ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ?

why then haven't eunuchs obtained the state of supreme dignity? ||3||

ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਸੁਣੋ ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਭਰਾਓ!

Says Kabeer, listen, O men, O Siblings of Destiny:

ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਕਦੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ?

without the Lord's Name, who has ever found salvation? ||4||4||
