ਸਰਨਿ ਜੋਗੁ ਸੁਨਿ; ਸਰਨੀ ਆਏ ॥
saran jog sun; saranee aae |
ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕਿ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਪਨਾਹ-ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਲਾਇਕ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
Hearing that He can give Sanctuary, I have come seeking His Sanctuary.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ; ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਪ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
kar kirapaa; prabh aap milaae |
ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ, ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਕ-ਮਿਕ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Bestowing His Mercy, God has blended me with Himself.
ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਬੈਰ; ਭਏ ਸਭ ਰੇਨ ॥
mitt ge bair; bhe sabh ren |
ਮੇਰੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨੀ ਚਲੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
Hatred is gone, and I have become the dust of all.
ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ; ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਲੈਨ ॥
amrit naam; saadhasang lain |
ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਮਈ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
I have received the Ambrosial Naam in the Company of the Holy.
ਸੁਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ; ਭਏ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥
suprasan; bhe guradev |
ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ,
The Divine Guru is perfectly pleased;
ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ; ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥
pooran hoee; sevak kee sev |
ਅਤੇ ਟਹਿਲੂਏ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸਫਲ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
the service of His servant has been rewarded.
ਆਲ ਜੰਜਾਲ; ਬਿਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਰਹਤੇ ॥
aal janjaal; bikaar te rahate |
ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਪੁਆੜਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ,
I have been released from worldly entanglements and corruption,
ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ; ਸੁਨਿ ਰਸਨਾ ਕਹਤੇ ॥
raam naam; sun rasanaa kahate |
ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਚਾਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ।
hearing the Lord's Name and chanting it with my tongue.
ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੁ; ਦਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੀ ॥
kar prasaad; deaa prabh dhaaree |
ਆਪ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਾਈਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
By His Grace, God has bestowed His Mercy.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਿਬਹੀ; ਖੇਪ ਹਮਾਰੀ ॥੪॥
naanak. nibahee; khep hamaaree |4|
ਨਾਨਕ, ਮੇਰਾ ਵੱਖਰ ਸਹੀ-ਸਲਾਮਤ ਪੁੱਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, my merchandise has arrived save and sound. ||4||
