ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ।

Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਜੋ ਲੋਢੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਵੇਰੇ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ,

Those who take their ritual baths in the evening and the morning

ਪਾਣੀ ਵਿਚਲੇ ਡੱਡੂਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹਨ।

are like the frogs in the water. ||1||

ਜਦ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਹੀਂ,

When people do not love the Lord's Name,

ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

they must all go to the Righteous Judge of Dharma. ||1||Pause||

ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਦੇਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸਰੂਪ ਧਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ,

Those who love their bodies and try different looks,

ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੀ ਰਹਿਮ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ।

do not feel compassion, even in dreams. ||2||

ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਐਸੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਚਹੁੰ ਪੈਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੈਵਾਨ ਹਨ,

The wise men call them four-footed creatures;

ਪਰ ਸੰਤ ਬਖੇੜੇ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

the Holy find peace in this ocean of pain. ||3||

ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਫੁਰਮਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਆਪਾਂ ਐਨੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਸੰਸਕਾਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਰੀਏ?

Says Kabeer, why do you perform so many rituals?

ਹੋਰ ਸਾਰਾ ਕੁਛ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਮ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਨ ਕਰੀਏ।

Renounce everything, and drink in the supreme essence of the Lord. ||4||5||
