ਗਊੜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ।

ਹੈ ਬੰਦੇ! ਤੂੰ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

O mind, cross over with the Support of the Lord's Name.

ਵਹਿਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੌਜਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਗਤ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰਨ ਲਈ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

The Guru is the boat to carry you across the world-ocean, through the waves of cynicism and doubt. ||1||Pause||

ਕਲਜੁਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰਾ ਘੁੱਪ ਹੈ।

In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, there is only pitch darkness.

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਵੀਚਾਰ ਦਾ ਦੀਵਾ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

The lamp of the Guru's spiritual wisdom illuminates and enlightens. ||1||

ਮਾਇਆ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਫੈਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

The poison of corruption is spread out far and wide.

ਨੇਕ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਬਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Only the virtuous are saved, chanting and meditating on the Lord. ||2||

ਮੋਹਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਸ਼ਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੁੱਤਾ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।

Intoxicated with Maya, the people are asleep.

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੰਸਾ ਤੇ ਡਰ ਦੁਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।

Meeting the Guru, doubt and fear are dispelled. ||3||

ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਸਾਈਂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

Says Nanak, meditate on the One Lord;

ਹਰ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

behold Him in each and every heart. ||4||2||140||
