Shabad

ਗਉੜੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ।

Gauree, Kabeer Jee:

ਜਿਸ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰਾ ਜਹਾਨ ਭੈ-ਭੀਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ,

That death which terrifies the entire world

ਉਸ ਮੌਤ ਦੀ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।

- the nature of that death has been revealed to me, through the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||1||

ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮਰਾਂਗਾ? ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨੂਏ ਨੇ ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।

Now, how shall I die? My mind has already accepted death.

ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਜੋ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਬਾਰੰਬਾਰ ਮਰਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

Those who do not know the Lord, die over and over again, and then depart. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, "ਮੈਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਹੈ।"

Everyone says, I will die, I will die.

ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ ਗਿਆਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

But he alone becomes immortal, who dies with intuitive understanding. ||2||

ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ, "ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਹੋ ਆਈ ਹੈ,

Says Kabeer, my mind is filled with bliss;

ਮੇਰਾ ਵਹਿਮ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਦੀ ਹੈ।।

my doubts have been eliminated, and I am in ecstasy. ||3||20||
