ਜੋ. ਗੁਰੁ ਗੋਪੇ ਆਪਣਾ, ਸੁ ਭਲਾ ਨਾਹੀ. ਪੰਚਹੁ; ਓਨਿ. ਲਾਹਾ ਮੂਲੁ ਸਭੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
jo. gur gope aapanaa, su bhalaa naahee. panchahu; on. laahaa mool sabh gavaaeaa |
ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਹਰਾ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਅਪਣਾਉਂਦਾ, ਉਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਸਲ ਜ਼ਰ ਤੇ ਨਫਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਸਾਧੂਓ!
O chosen people, O self-elect, one who does not publicly affirm his Guru is not a good person; he loses all his profits and capital.
ਪਹਿਲਾ ਆਗਮੁ ਨਿਗਮੁ. ਨਾਨਕੁ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਏ; ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਬਚਨੁ, ਉਪਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਪਹਿਲੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਾਸਤਰਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਵੇਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਦੇ ਤੇ ਪਰਚਾਰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਪਰਮ ਉਚੀ ਉਤਰੀ ਹੈ।
People used to chant and recite the Shaastras and the Vedas, O Nanak, but now the Words of the Perfect Guru have come to be the most exalted of all.
ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਭਾਵੈ. ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ; ਮਨਮੁਖਾ ਓਹ ਵੇਲਾ. ਹਥਿ ਨ ਆਇਆ ॥੨॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁਤਾ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਆਪੁ-ਹੁਦਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਅਉਸਰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
The glorious greatness of the Perfect Guru is pleasing to the GurSikh; the self-willed manmukhs have lost this opportunity. ||2||

ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ. ਸਭ ਦੂ ਵਡਾ ਹੈ; ਸੋ ਲਏ. ਜਿਸੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਟਿਕੇ ॥
sach sachaa. sabh doo vaddaa hai; so le. jis satigur ttike |
ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਰਮ ਉਤਮ ਹੈ। ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਟਿਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
The True Lord is truly the greatest of all; he alone obtains Him, who is anointed by the Guru.
ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ. ਜਿ ਸਚੁ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ; ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਇਕੇ ॥

ਉਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇ ਸੱਚਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਇਕ ਹੀ ਹਨ।
He is the True Guru, who meditates on the True Lord. The True Lord and the True Guru are truly One.
ਸੋਈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ; ਜਿਨਿ. ਪੰਜੇ ਦੂਤ. ਕੀਤੇ ਵਸਿ ਛਿਕੇ ॥

ਓਹੀ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੰਜੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ-ਵੇਗ ਕੱਸ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ।
He is the True Guru, the Primal Being, who has totally conquered his five passions.
ਜਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸੇਵੇ. ਆਪੁ ਗਣਾਇਦੇ; ਤਿਨ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਕੂੜੁ, ਫਿਟੁ ਫਿਟੁ ਮੁਹ ਫਿਕੇ ॥

ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਜਤਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰ ਝੂਠ ਹੈ। ਧ੍ਰਿਕਾਰ ਤੇ ਲਾਨ੍ਹਤ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਰੁਖੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਨੂੰ।
One who does not serve the True Guru, and who praises himself, is filled with falsehood within. Cursed, cursed is his ugly face.
ਓਇ ਬੋਲੇ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਭਾਵਨੀ; ਮੁਹ ਕਾਲੇ. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਚੁਕੇ ॥੮॥

ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੁੜਿਆਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਸਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਗੱਲਬਾਤ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਚੰਗੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਲਗਦੀ।
His words are not pleasing to anyone; his face is blackened, and he is separated from the True Guru. ||8||

ਸਲੋਕ ਚੌਥੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Salok, Fourth Mehl:
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਖੇਤੁ ਹੈ; ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਕਿਰਸਾਣੀ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
har prabh kaa sabh khet hai; har aap kirasaanee laaeaa |
ਹਰ ਦੇਹਿ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਪੈਲੀ ਹੈ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਖੇਤੀਬਾੜੀ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Everyone is the field of the Lord God; the Lord Himself cultivates this field.
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬਖਸਿ ਜਮਾਈਅਨੁ; ਮਨਮੁਖੀ. ਮੂਲੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ-ਅਨੁਸਾਰੀ ਰੱਬ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਦੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕੂਲ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਸਲ ਜੋਰ ਭੀ ਗੁਆ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh grows the crop of forgiveness, while the self-willed manmukh loses even his roots.
ਸਭੁ ਕੋ ਬੀਜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਲੇ ਨੋ; ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ. ਸੋ ਖੇਤੁ ਜਮਾਇਆ ॥
sabh ko beeje aapane bhale no; har bhaavai. so khet jamaaeaa |
ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਾਭ ਲਈ ਕਾਸ਼ਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਉਸ ਪੈਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਉਗਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗੀ ਲੱਗੀ ਹੈ।
They all plant for their own good, but the Lord causes to grow only that field with which He is pleased.
ਗੁਰਸਿਖੀ. ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤੁ ਬੀਜਿਆ; ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ, ਫਲੁ ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਆਬਿ-ਹਿਯਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਬੀਜਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਮਈ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਧਾ ਸਰੂਪ ਫਲ ਵਜੋ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The GurSikh plants the seed of the Lord's Ambrosial Nectar, and obtains the Lord's Ambrosial Naam as his Ambrosial Fruit.
ਜਮੁ ਚੂਹਾ. ਕਿਰਸ ਨਿਤ ਕੁਰਕਦਾ; ਹਰਿ ਕਰਤੈ, ਮਾਰਿ ਕਢਾਇਆ ॥
jam choohaa. kiras nit kurakadaa; har karatai, maar kadtaaeaa |
ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਚੂਹਾ ਨਿਤਾਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਫਸਲ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਤਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰੰਤੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਟ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
The mouse of Death is continually gnawing away at the crop, but the Creator Lord has beaten it off and driven it away.
ਕਿਰਸਾਣੀ ਜੰਮੀ ਭਾਉ ਕਰਿ; ਹਰਿ. ਬੋਹਲ ਬਖਸ ਜਮਾਇਆ ॥
kirasaanee jamee bhaau kar; har. bohal bakhas jamaaeaa |
ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੁਆਰ ਫਸਲ ਉਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਸਦਕਾ ਦਾਣਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਢੇਰ ਲੱਗ ਗਿਆ।
The farm was successful, by the Love of the Lord, and the crop was produced by God's Grace.
ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਕਾੜਾ ਅੰਦੇਸਾ ਸਭੁ ਲਾਹਿਓਨੁ; ਜਿਨੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥
tin kaa kaarraa andesaa sabh laahion; jinee satigur purakh dhiaaeaa |
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਧਾਰਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੜਾਂਦ ਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਛੱਡੀ ਹੈ।
He has removed all the burning and anxiety of those, who have meditated on the True Guru, the Primal Being.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ; ਆਪਿ ਤਰਿਆ. ਸਭੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

ਹੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
O servant Nanak, one who worships and adores the Naam, the Name of the Lord, swims across, and saves the whole world as well. ||1||

ਚੋਥੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Fourth Mehl:
ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਨੁ. ਲਾਲਚਿ ਅਟਿਆ; ਮਨਮੁਖਿ. ਹੋਰੇ ਗਲਾ ॥

ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕੂਲ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਲੋਭ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਵਿਰਤ ਹੋਇਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਬਾਤਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The self-willed manmukh is occupied with greed all day long, although he may claim otherwise.
ਰਾਤੀ. ਊਘੈ ਦਬਿਆ; ਨਵੇ ਸੋਤ, ਸਭਿ ਢਿਲਾ ॥

ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਨੀਂਦ ਗਲਬਾ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੋਵੇ ਗੋਲਕਾ ਸੁਸਤ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
At night, he is overcome by fatigue, and all his nine holes are weakened.
ਮਨਮੁਖਾ ਦੈ ਸਿਰਿ. ਜੋਰਾ ਅਮਰੁ ਹੈ; ਨਿਤ ਦੇਵਹਿ ਭਲਾ ॥
manamukhaa dai sir. joraa amar hai; nit deveh bhalaa |
ਅਧਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉਤੇ ਤ੍ਰੀਮਤ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਚੰਗੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Over the head of the manmukh is the order of the woman; to her, he ever holds out his promises of goodness.
ਜੋਰਾ ਦਾ ਆਖਿਆ. ਪੁਰਖ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ; ਸੇ ਅਪਵਿਤ ਅਮੇਧ ਖਲਾ ॥
joraa daa aakhiaa. purakh kamaavade; se apavit amedh khalaa |
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਤ੍ਰੀਮਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਕਹਿਆ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਗੰਦੇ, ਨਾਪਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਹਨ।
Those men who act according to the orders of women are impure, filthy and foolish.
ਕਾਮਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ. ਕੁਸੁਧ ਨਰ; ਸੇ ਜੋਰਾ ਪੁਛਿ ਚਲਾ ॥

ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਭੋਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਲਤਾਨ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੁਆਣੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਟੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those impure men are engrossed in sexual desire; they consult their women and walk accordingly.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਆਖਿਐ. ਜੋ ਚਲੈ; ਸੋ ਸਤਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਭਲ ਭਲਾ ॥
satigur kai aakhiai. jo chalai; so sat purakh bhal bhalaa |
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਹੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਟੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਚੰਗਿਆ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ।
One who walks as the True Guru tells him to, is the true man, the best of the best.
ਜੋਰਾ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਭਿ. ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਇਅਨੁ; ਹਰਿ ਖੇਲ, ਸਭਿ ਖਿਲਾ ॥
joraa purakh sabh. aap upaaeian; har khel, sabh khilaa |
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਨਰ ਪੈਦਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਹਨ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਖੇਡਾਂ ਖੇਡਦਾ ਹੈ।
He Himself created all women and men; the Lord Himself plays every play.
ਸਭ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਵਣੀ; ਨਾਨਕ. ਭਲ ਭਲਾ ॥੨॥
sabh teree banat banaavanee; naanak. bhal bhalaa |2|
ਸਾਰੀ ਬਣਤਰ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਪਰਮ ਸਰੇਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਪਰਮ ਸਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ।
You created the entire creation; O Nanak, it is the best of the best. ||2||

ਤੂ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ਅਥਾਹੁ ਹੈ; ਅਤੁਲੁ. ਕਿਉ ਤੁਲੀਐ ॥

ਤੂੰ ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਬੇਮੁਥਾਜ, ਥਾਹਿ-ਰਹਤਿ ਅਤੇ ਅਮਾਪ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜੋਖਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
You are carefree, unfathomable and immeasurable; how can You be measured?
ਸੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ. ਜਿ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ; ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੀਐ ॥
se vaddabhaagee. ji tudh dhiaaeide; jin satigur mileeai |
ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਹੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ! ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਲ ਪਏ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਭਾਰੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ।
Those who have met the True Guru and who meditate on You are very fortunate.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ. ਸਤਿ ਸਰੂਪੁ ਹੈ; ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਬਣੀਐ ॥
satigur kee baanee. sat saroop hai; gurabaanee baneeai |
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਮੁਜੱਸਮ ਸੱਚ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਬਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Word of the True Guru's Bani is the embodiment of Truth; through Gurbani, one becomes perfect.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਰੀਸੈ. ਹੋਰਿ ਕਚੁ ਪਿਚੁ ਬੋਲਦੇ; ਸੇ ਕੂੜਿਆਰ ਕੂੜੇ. ਝੜਿ ਪੜੀਐ ॥

ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਖਿਆਲ ਨਾਲ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਮੰਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਭਜਨ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਝੂਠ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਉਹ ਝੂਠੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Jealously emulating the True Guru, some others may speak of good and bad, but the false are destroyed by their falsehood.
ਓਨੑਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹੋਰੁ. ਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਰੁ ਹੈ; ਬਿਖੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਨੋ. ਝਖਿ ਮਰਦੇ ਕੜੀਐ ॥੯॥

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਹੀ। ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਉਹ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਤੇ ਖਪਦੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Deep within them is one thing, and in their mouths is another; they suck in the poison of Maya, and then they painfully waste away. ||9||

ਸਲੋਕ ਚੌਥੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Salok, Fourth Mehl:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਿਰਮਲੀ; ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਨੁ ਹੋਇ, ਸੁ ਸੇਵਾ ਘਾਲੇ ॥

ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਹੇ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ। ਜੋ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Service to the True Guru is immaculate and pure; those humble beings who are pure perform this service.
ਜਿਨ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਕਪਟੁ, ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ਝੂਠੁ; ਓਇ ਆਪੇ ਸਚੈ, ਵਖਿ ਕਢੇ ਜਜਮਾਲੇ ॥
jin andar kapatt, vikaar jhootth; oe aape sachai, vakh kadte jajamaale |
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਛਲ, ਵੈਲ ਅਤੇ ਕੂੜ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਪਰੇ ਵਖਰੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who have deceit, corruption and falsehood within - the True Lord Himself casts them out like lepers.
