ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਰਸੁ ਜਿਨੀ ਚਖਿਆ; ਸੇ ਤਿ੍ਰਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘਾਈ ॥
sach sachaa ras jinee chakhiaa; se tripat rahe aaghaaee |
ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਰੱਜੇ ਤੇ ਧਰਾਪੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who have tasted the true essence of the True Lord, remain satisfied and fulfilled.
ਇਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਸੇਈ ਜਾਣਦੇ; ਜਿਉ ਗੂੰਗੈ ਮਿਠਿਆਈ ਖਾਈ ॥
eihu har ras seee jaanade; jiau goongai mitthiaaee khaaee |
ਗੁੰਗੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਮਿਠਿਆਈ ਖਾਣ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਨੂੰ ਕੇਵਲ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਹੀ ਕਰ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ।
They know this essence of the Lord, but they say nothing, like the mute who tastes the sweet candy, and says nothing.
ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੇਵਿਆ; ਮਨਿ ਵਜੀ ਵਾਧਾਈ ॥੧੮॥

ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਬਾਰਕਬਾਦ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Perfect Guru serves the Lord God; His vibration vibrates and resounds in the mind. ||18||

ਜਿਨਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਉਮਰਥਲ; ਸੇਈ ਜਾਣਨਿ ਸੂਲੀਆ ॥
jinaa andar umarathal; seee jaanan sooleea |
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਦੋਧਾਣਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who have a festering boil within - they alone know its pain.
ਹਰਿ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਸੇਈ ਬਿਰਹੁ; ਹਉ ਤਿਨ ਵਿਟਹੁ. ਸਦ ਘੁਮਿ ਘੋਲੀਆ ॥

ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਨੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵਿਛੋੜੇ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ ਨੂੰ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who know the pain of separation from the Lord - I am forever a sacrifice, a sacrifice to them.
ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਸਜਣੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ; ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਰੁ. ਤਿਨ ਵਿਟਹੁ. ਤਲ ਰੋਲੀਆ ॥

ਹੇ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇ। ਮੇਰਾ ਸੀਸ ਤਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਰੁਲੇਗਾ।
O Lord, please lead me to meet the Guru, the Primal Being, my Friend; my head shall roll in the dust under His feet.
ਜੋ ਸਿਖ. ਗੁਰ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ; ਹਉ ਗੁਲਮੁ ਤਿਨਾ ਕਾ ਗੋਲੀਆ ॥
jo sikh. gur kaar kamaaveh; hau gulam tinaa kaa goleea |
ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਮੁਰੀਦਾ ਦੇ ਸੇਵਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਬਜਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
I am the slave of the slaves of those GurSikhs who serve Him.
ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੈ ਜੋ ਰਤੇ; ਤਿਨ ਭਿਨੀ. ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਚੋਲੀਆ ॥
har rang chaloolai jo rate; tin bhinee. har rang choleea |
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪੱਕੀ ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੀਜੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਸ਼ਾਕੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੱਚ ਹਨ।
Those who are imbued with the deep crimson color of the Lord's Love - their robes are drenched in the Love of the Lord.
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਲਿ; ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ. ਸਿਰੁ ਵੇਚਿਆ ਮੋਲੀਆ ॥੧॥

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਦੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਉਸਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਸੀਸ ਰਕਮ ਵਸੂਲ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਫਰੋਖਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Grant Your Grace, and lead Nanak to meet the Guru; I have sold my head to Him. ||1||

ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਚੋਥੀ।
Fourth Mehl:
ਅਉਗਣੀ ਭਰਿਆ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਹੈ; ਕਿਉ ਸੰਤਹੁ. ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥
aauganee bhariaa sareer hai; kiau santahu. niramal hoe |
ਦੇਹਿ ਪਾਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਪਰੀ-ਪੂਰਨ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਸਾਧੂਓ?
The body is full of mistakes and misdeeds; how can it become pure, O Saints?
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗੁਣ ਵੇਹਾਝੀਅਹਿ; ਮਲੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਕਢੈ ਧੋਇ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਨੇਕੀਆਂ ਖਰੀਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦੀ ਮੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਧੋ ਕੇ ਕੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
The Gurmukh purchases virtues, which wash off the sin of egotism.
ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਹਿ ਰੰਗ ਸਿਉ; ਸਚੁ ਸਉਦਾ ਹੋਇ ॥
sach vananjeh rang siau; sach saudaa hoe |
ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੱਲ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਵਣਜ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ।
True is the trade which purchases the True Lord with love.
ਤੋਟਾ. ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ; ਲਾਹਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਇ ॥
tottaa. mool na aavee; laahaa har bhaavai soe |
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਘਾਟਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਫ਼ਾ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
No loss will come from this, and the profit comes by the Lord's Will.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਤਿਨ ਸਚੁ ਵਣੰਜਿਆ; ਜਿਨਾ ਧੁਰਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਹਾਝਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਮੁੱਢ ਦੀ ਲਿਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਐਸੀ ਲਿਖਤਾਕਾਰ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, they alone purchase the Truth, who are blessed with such pre-ordained destiny. ||2||

Pauree:
ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਲਾਹਣਾ; ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਾਲੇ ॥
saalaahee sach saalaahanaa; sach sachaa purakh niraale |
ਮੈਂ ਉਪਮਾ ਯੋਗ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਹੀ, ਬੇਨਜ਼ੀਰ ਹੈ।
I praise the True One, who alone is worthy of praise. The True Primal Being is True - this is His unique quality.
ਸਚੁ ਸੇਵੀ. ਸਚੁ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ; ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ॥

ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਸੱਚ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕ, ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਸੱਚਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਖਿਅਕ ਹੈ।
Serving the True Lord, the Truth comes to dwell in the mind. The Lord, the Truest of the True, is my Protector.
ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਜਿਨੀ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ; ਸੇ ਜਾਇ ਰਲੇ ਸਚ ਨਾਲੇ ॥
sach sachaa jinee araadhiaa; se jaae rale sach naale |
ਜੋ ਸਚਿਆਰਾ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਂ ਸਚਿਆਰ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who worship and adore the Truest of the True, shall go and merge with the True Lord.
ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ. ਜਿਨੀ ਨ ਸੇਵਿਆ; ਸੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮੂੜ ਬੇਤਾਲੇ ॥
sach sachaa. jinee na seviaa; se manamukh moorr betaale |
ਜੋ ਸਚਿਆਰਾ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਂ ਸਚਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੇ, ਉਹ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਤੇ ਆਪ-ਹੁਦਰੇ ਭੂਤਨੇ ਹਨ।
Those who do not serve the Truest of the True - those self-willed manmukhs are foolish demons.
ਓਹ ਆਲੁ ਪਤਾਲੁ ਮੁਹਹੁ ਬੋਲਦੇ; ਜਿਉ ਪੀਤੈ ਮਦਿ ਮਤਵਾਲੇ ॥੧੯॥
oeh aal pataal muhahu bolade; jiau peetai mad matavaale |19|
ਸ਼ਰਾਬ ਪੀ ਕੇ ਗੁਟ ਹੋਏ ਹੋਏ ਸ਼ਰਾਬੀ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਉਲਟ ਪੁਲਟ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
With their mouths, they babble on about this and that, like the drunkard who has drunk his wine. ||19||

ਸਲੋਕ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Salok, Third Mehl:
ਗਉੜੀ ਰਾਗਿ ਸੁਲਖਣੀ; ਜੇ ਖਸਮੈ ਚਿਤਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
gaurree raag sulakhanee; je khasamai chit karee |
ਗਉੜੀ ਰਾਗ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੈ ਜੇਕਰ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰੇ।
Gauree Raga is auspicious, if, through it, one comes to think of his Lord and Master.
ਭਾਣੈ ਚਲੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ; ਐਸਾ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਕਰੇਇ ॥
bhaanai chalai satiguroo kai; aisaa seegaar karee |
ਉਹ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਟੁਰੇ। ਐਹੋ ਜੇਹਾ ਹਾਰਸ਼ਿੰਗਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਣਾ ਉਚਿਤ ਹੈ।
He should walk in harmony with the Will of the True Guru; this should be his decoration.
ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਭਤਾਰੁ ਹੈ; ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਰਾਵੇਇ ॥
sachaa sabad bhataar hai; sadaa sadaa raavee |
ਸੱਚਾ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਤ ਹੈ। ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸੇ ਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਲੈਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
The True Word of the Shabad is our spouse; ravish and enjoy it, forever and ever.
ਜਿਉ ਉਬਲੀ ਮਜੀਠੈ ਰੰਗੁ ਗਹਗਹਾ; ਤਿਉ ਸਚੇ ਨੋ ਜੀਉ ਦੇਇ ॥
jiau ubalee majeetthai rang gahagahaa; tiau sache no jeeo dee |
ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਗੂੜ੍ਹਾ ਲਾਲ ਰੰਗ ਉਬਲੀ ਹੋਈ ਮਜੀਠ ਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਸਮਰਪਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਰੰਗ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
Like the deep crimson color of the madder plant - such is the dye which shall color you, when you dedicate your soul to the True One.
ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੈ ਅਤਿ ਰਤੀ; ਸਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਲਗਾ ਨੇਹੁ ॥
rang chaloolai at ratee; sache siau lagaa nehu |
ਜੋ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪੋਸਤ ਦੇ ਫੁੱਲ ਦੀ ਰੰਗਤ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
One who loves the True Lord is totally imbued with the Lord's Love, like the deep crimson color of the poppy.
ਕੂੜੁ ਠਗੀ. ਗੁਝੀ ਨਾ ਰਹੈ; ਕੂੜੁ ਮੁਲੰਮਾ ਪਲੇਟਿ ਧਰੇਹੁ ॥
koorr tthagee. gujhee naa rahai; koorr mulamaa palett dharehu |
ਝੂਠੀ ਗਿਲਟ ਨਾਲ ਲਪੇਟੇ ਹੋਏ, ਝੂਠ ਅਤੇ ਵਲਛਲ ਲੁਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ।
Falsehood and deception may be covered with false coatings, but they cannot remain hidden.
ਕੂੜੀ ਕਰਨਿ ਵਡਾਈਆ; ਕੂੜੇ ਸਿਉ ਲਗਾ ਨੇਹੁ ॥
koorree karan vaddaaeea; koorre siau lagaa nehu |
ਝੂਠ ਹੈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤ ਕਰਨੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਝੂਠ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਹੈ।
False is the uttering of praises, by those who love falsehood.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਸਚਾ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ; ਆਪੇ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੧॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਕੇਵਲ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਧਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, He alone is True; He Himself casts His Glance of Grace. ||1||

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਹੈ; ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ॥
satasangat meh har usatat hai; sang saadhoo mile piaariaa |
ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੰਤਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਗਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ।
In the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, the Lord's Praises are sung. In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Beloved Lord is met.
ਓਇ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਧੰਨਿ ਜਨ ਹਹਿ; ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰਿਆ ॥
oe purakh praanee dhan jan heh; upades kareh praupakaariaa |
ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਉਹ ਫਾਨੀ ਜੀਵ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਲੇ ਲਈ ਸਿੱਖ-ਮਤ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Blessed is that mortal being, who shares the Teachings for the good of others.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਿ੍ਰੜਾਵਹਿ. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਾਵਹਿ; ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਜਗੁ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿਆ ॥
har naam drirraaveh. har naam sunaaveh; har naame jag nisataariaa |
ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਉਹ ਤਾਕੀਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਪਰਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਬੰਦ-ਖਲਾਸ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
He implants the Name of the Lord, and he preaches the Name of the Lord; through the Name of the Lord, the world is saved.
ਗੁਰ ਵੇਖਣ ਕਉ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ਲੋਚੈ; ਨਵ ਖੰਡ ਜਗਤਿ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਿਆ ॥

ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਲੋੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਨੌ ਮਹਾਂ ਦੀਪਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦਨਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Everyone longs to see the Guru; the world, and the nine continents, bow down to Him.
ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੁ, ਰਖਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਚਿ; ਗੁਰੁ ਆਪੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥

ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ!
You Yourself have established the True Guru; You Yourself have adorned the Guru.
ਤੂ ਆਪੇ ਪੂਜਹਿ. ਪੂਜ ਕਰਾਵਹਿ; ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਿਆ ॥

ਮੇਰੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਨਾ ਕਰਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
You Yourself worship and adore the True Guru; You inspire others to worship Him as well, O Creator Lord.
ਕੋਈ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਜਾਇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਪਾਸਹੁ; ਤਿਸੁ ਕਾਲਾ ਮੁਹੁ. ਜਮਿ ਮਾਰਿਆ ॥
koee vichhurr jaae satiguroo paasahu; tis kaalaa muhu. jam maariaa |
ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ, ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਸਿਆਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
If someone separates himself from the True Guru, his face is blackened, and he is destroyed by the Messenger of Death.
