ਤਿਸੁ ਅਗੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਢੋਈ ਨਾਹੀ; ਗੁਰਸਿਖੀ ਮਨਿ ਵੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
tis agai pichhai dtoee naahee; gurasikhee man veechaariaa |
ਗੁਰੂ ਦਿਆਂ ਮੁਰੀਦਾ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਇਥੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਪਨਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਭਣੀ।
He shall find no shelter, here or hereafter; the GurSikhs have realized this in their minds.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੋ ਮਿਲੇ. ਸੇਈ ਜਨ ਉਬਰੇ; ਜਿਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਰਿਆ ॥

ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
That humble being who meets the True Guru is saved; he cherishes the Naam, the Name of the Lord, in his heart.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੇ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਪੁਤਹਹੁ; ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਅਹੁ, ਹਰਿ ਨਿਸਤਾਰਿਆ ॥੨॥

ਹੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖੋਂ ਅਤੇ ਪੁਤਰੋ! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਗੋਲਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
Servant Nanak says: O GurSikhs, O my sons, meditate on the Lord; only the Lord shall save you. ||2||

ਹਉਮੈ ਜਗਤੁ ਭੁਲਾਇਆ; ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਕਾਰ ॥
haumai jagat bhulaaeaa; duramat bikhiaa bikaar |
ਹੰਕਾਰ, ਮੰਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਰਾਹੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Egotism has led the world astray, along with evil-mindedness and the poison of corruption.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਮਿਲੈ, ਤ ਨਦਰਿ ਹੋਇ; ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧ ਅੰਧਿਆਰ ॥
satigur milai, ta nadar hoe; manamukh andh andhiaar |
ਜੇਕਰ ਅਧਰਮੀ, ਜੋ ਮੁਕੰਮਲ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਵੇ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਣ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Meeting with the True Guru, we are blessed by the Lord's Glance of Grace, while the self-willed manmukh gropes around in the darkness.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਏ; ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਾਏ ਪਿਆਰੁ ॥੩॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਜੀਵ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਕਰ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, the Lord absorbs into Himself those whom He inspires to love the Word of His Shabad. ||3||

ਸਚੁ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ ਸਿਫਤਿ ਸਲਾਹ ਹੈ; ਸੋ ਕਰੇ. ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਦਰੁ ਭਿਜੈ ॥
sach sache kee sifat salaah hai; so kare. jis andar bhijai |
ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਕੀਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਉਸਤਤੀ ਸਤਿਪੁਰਖ ਦੀ ਕੇਵਲ ਓਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਨਰਮ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
True are the Praises and the Glories of the True One; he alone speaks them, whose mind is softened within.
ਜਿਨੀ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਇਕੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ; ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਕੰਧੁ. ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਛਿਜੈ ॥
jinee ik man ik araadhiaa; tin kaa kandh. na kabahoo chhijai |
ਜੋ ਇਕ ਚਿੱਤ ਨਾਲ ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਪੁਰਖ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਹਿ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਨਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ।
Those who worship the One Lord with single-minded devotion - their bodies shall never perish.
ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਪੁਰਖ ਸਾਬਾਸਿ ਹੈ; ਜਿਨ ਸਚੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤੁ ਪਿਜੈ ॥
dhan dhan purakh saabaas hai; jin sach rasanaa amrit pijai |
ਮੁਬਾਰਕ! ਮੁਬਾਰਕ! ਤੇ ਉਪਮਾਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪੁਰਸ਼, ਜੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਜੀਭਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਸੁਧਾਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
Blessed, blessed and acclaimed is that person, who tastes with his tongue the Ambrosial Nectar of the True Name.
ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵਦਾ; ਸੇ ਮਨਿ ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਲਿਜੈ ॥
sach sachaa jin man bhaavadaa; se man sachee daragah lijai |
ਉਹ ਪੁਰਸ਼, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਿਆ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਸੱਚਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਸੱਚੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
One whose mind is pleased with the Truest of the True is accepted in the True Court.
ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਚਿਆਰੀਆ; ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲ ਸਚੁ ਕਰਿਜੈ ॥੨੦॥
dhan dhan janam sachiaareea; mukh ujal sach karijai |20|
ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼! ਸ਼ਾਬਾਸ਼! ਹੈ ਸੱਚੇ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿਹਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Blessed, blessed is the birth of those true beings; the True Lord brightens their faces. ||20||

Salok, Fourth Mehl:
ਸਾਕਤ ਜਾਇ ਨਿਵਹਿ ਗੁਰ ਆਗੈ; ਮਨਿ ਖੋਟੇ ਕੂੜਿ ਕੂੜਿਆਰੇ ॥
saakat jaae niveh gur aagai; man khotte koorr koorriaare |
ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਪੁਜਾਰੀ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਅਗੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਕਮੀਨਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਨਿਰੋਲ ਝੂਠ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
The faithless cynics go and bow before the Guru, but their minds are corrupt and false, totally false.
ਜਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਹੈ. ਉਠਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ; ਬਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ. ਘੁਸਰਿ ਬਗੁਲਾਰੇ ॥
jaa gur kahai. utthahu mere bhaaee; beh jaeh. ghusar bagulaare |
ਜਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, "ਉਠੋ ਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੋ, ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਓ!" ਉਹ ਕਿਵੇ ਨਾਂ ਕਿਵੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਘੁਸੜ ਕੇ ਬਗਲੇ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੈਠ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
When the Guru says, "Rise up, my Siblings of Destiny", they sit down, crowded in like cranes.
ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਵਰਤੈ; ਚੁਣਿ ਕਢੇ, ਲਧੋਵਾਰੇ ॥
gurasikhaa andar satigur varatai; chun kadte, ladhovaare |
ਸੱਚਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਵਾਰਾ-ਗਰਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The True Guru prevails among His GurSikhs; they pick out and expel the wanderers.
ਓਇ ਅਗੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਬਹਿ, ਮੁਹੁ ਛਪਾਇਨਿ; ਨ ਰਲਨੀ ਖੋਟੇਆਰੇ ॥
oe agai pichhai beh, muhu chhapaaein; na ralanee khotteaare |
ਇਥੇ ਉਥੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਲੁਕਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਖੋਟੇ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਹ ਖਰਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਲਦੇ।
Sitting here and there, they hide their faces; being counterfeit, they cannot mix with the genuine.
ਓਨਾ ਦਾ ਭਖੁ, ਸੁ ਓਥੈ ਨਾਹੀ; ਜਾਇ ਕੂੜੁ ਲਹਨਿ, ਭੇਡਾਰੇ ॥
onaa daa bhakh, su othai naahee; jaae koorr lehan, bheddaare |
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਾਜਾ ਉਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਝੂਠੇ ਭੇਡਾ ਦੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਲੱਭ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
There is no food for them there; the false go into the filth like sheep.
ਜੇ ਸਾਕਤੁ ਨਰੁ. ਖਾਵਾਈਐ ਲੋਚੀਐ; ਬਿਖੁ ਕਢੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਉਗਲਾਰੇ ॥
je saakat nar. khaavaaeeai locheeai; bikh kadtai mukh ugalaare |
ਜੇਕਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਧਰਮੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਆਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਗਲ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕਢੇਗਾ।
If you try to feed the faithless cynic, he will spit out poison from his mouth.
ਹਰਿ. ਸਾਕਤ ਸੇਤੀ ਸੰਗੁ. ਨ ਕਰੀਅਹੁ; ਓਇ ਮਾਰੇ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰੇ ॥
har. saakat setee sang. na kareeahu; oe maare sirajanahaare |
ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਉਪਾਸ਼ਕ ਦੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ। ਉਹ ਰਚਣਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਫਿਟਕਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
O Lord, let me not be in the company of the faithless cynic, who is cursed by the Creator Lord.
ਜਿਸ ਕਾ ਇਹੁ ਖੇਲੁ. ਸੋਈ ਕਰਿ ਵੇਖੈ; ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ. ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
jis kaa ihu khel. soee kar vekhai; jan naanak. naam samaare |1|
ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਇਹ ਖੇਡ ਹੈ, ਉਹੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਰਚਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨੌਕਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
This drama belongs to the Lord; He performs it, and He watches over it. Servant Nanak cherishes the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||

ਚੋਥੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Fourth Mehl:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਅਗੰਮੁ ਹੈ; ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥
satigur purakh agam hai; jis andar har ur dhaariaa |
ਅਥਾਹ ਹੈ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਟਿਕਾਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
The True Guru, the Primal Being, is inaccessible; He has enshrined the Lord's Name within His heart.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੋ ਅਪੜਿ. ਕੋਇ ਨ ਸਕਈ; ਜਿਸੁ ਵਲਿ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰਿਆ ॥
satiguroo no aparr. koe na sakee; jis val sirajanahaariaa |
ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਰਾਬਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸਕਦਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੱਖ ਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਹੈ।
No one can equal the True Guru; the Creator Lord is on His side.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਖੜਗੁ ਸੰਜੋਉ, ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਹੈ; ਜਿਤੁ ਕਾਲੁ ਕੰਟਕੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਵਿਡਾਰਿਆ ॥
satiguroo kaa kharrag sanjoau, har bhagat hai; jit kaal kanttak maar viddaariaa |
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਰ੍ਹਾਂ-ਬਕਤਰ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੁਖ ਦੇਣਹਾਰ ਮੌਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਪਰੇ ਸੁਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
Devotional worship of the Lord is the sword and armor of the True Guru; He has killed and cast out Death, the torturer.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਰਖਣਹਾਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਹੈ; ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ ਪਿਛੈ ਹਰਿ ਸਭਿ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ॥
satiguroo kaa rakhanahaaraa har aap hai; satiguroo kai pichhai har sabh ubaariaa |
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਖੁਦ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗਦੇ ਹਨ।
The Lord Himself is the Protector of the True Guru. The Lord saves all those who follow in the footsteps of the True Guru.
ਜੋ ਮੰਦਾ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਪੂਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ; ਸੋ ਆਪਿ ਉਪਾਵਣਹਾਰੈ ਮਾਰਿਆ ॥
jo mandaa chitavai poore satiguroo kaa; so aap upaavanahaarai maariaa |
ਰਚਣਹਾਰ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪੁਰਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਬੁਰਾ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who thinks evil of the Perfect True Guru - the Creator Lord Himself destroys him.
ਏਹ ਗਲ ਹੋਵੈ. ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਸਚੇ ਕੀ; ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ. ਅਗਮੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥੨॥
eeh gal hovai. har daragah sache kee; jan naanak. agam veechaariaa |2|
ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨੌਕਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਪੜਦੇ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਉਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
These words will be confirmed as true in the Court of the Lord; servant Nanak reveals this mystery. ||2||

ਸਚੁ ਸੁਤਿਆ ਜਿਨੀ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ; ਜਾ ਉਠੇ ਤਾ ਸਚੁ ਚਵੇ ॥

ਜੋ ਸੁਤਿਆਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦ ਉਹ ਜਾਗਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਭੀ ਉਹ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who dwell upon the True Lord while asleep, utter the True Name when they are awake.
ਸੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਜਾਣੀਅਹਿ; ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚੁ ਰਵੇ ॥
se virale jug meh jaaneeeh; jo guramukh sach rave |
ਬਹੁਤ ਥੋੜੇ ਜੀਵ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਇਸ ਜਹਾਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੱਚੇ ਸਾਈਂ ਦਾ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
How rare in the world are those Gurmukhs who dwell upon the True Lord.
ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ; ਜਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਚੁ ਲਵੇ ॥
hau balihaaree tin kau; ji anadin sach lave |
ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਰੈਣ ਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
I am a sacrifice to those who chant the True Name, night and day.
ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਸਚਾ ਭਾਵਦਾ; ਸੇ ਸਚੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਗਵੇ ॥

ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਤੇ ਅਪੜ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
The True Lord is pleasing to their minds and bodies; they go to the Court of the True Lord.
ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ. ਬੋਲੈ ਸਚੁ ਨਾਮੁ; ਸਚੁ ਸਚਾ ਸਦਾ ਨਵੇ ॥੨੧॥
jan naanak. bolai sach naam; sach sachaa sadaa nave |21|
ਗੋਲਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਨਿਸਚਿਤ ਹੀ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ, ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਨਵਾਂ ਨਰੋਆ ਹੈ।

ਕਿਆ ਸਵਣਾ. ਕਿਆ ਜਾਗਣਾ; ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਤੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
kiaa savanaa. kiaa jaaganaa; guramukh te paravaan |
ਕੀ ਸਊਣਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਜਾਗਣਾ? ਜੋ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਵਲ ਮੁੜੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Who is asleep, and who is awake? Those who are Gurmukh are approved.
