ਜੋ ਮਾਰੇ ਤਿਨਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ; ਸੇ ਕਿਸੈ ਨ ਸੰਦੇ ॥
jo maare tin paarabraham; se kisai na sande |
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਰੋਮਣੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਨੇ ਨਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੇ ਭੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
Those who are struck down by the Supreme Lord God do not belong to anyone.
ਵੈਰੁ ਕਰਨਿ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਨਾਲਿ; ਧਰਮਿ ਨਿਆਇ ਪਚੰਦੇ ॥
vair karan niravair naal; dharam niaae pachande |
ਇਹ ਅਸਲ ਇਨਸਾਫ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨੀ-ਰਹਿਤ ਨਾਲ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ।
Those who hate the One who has no hatred, are destroyed by righteous justice.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਸੰਤਿ ਸਰਾਪਿਆ; ਸੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਭਵੰਦੇ ॥
jo jo sant saraapiaa; se fireh bhavande |
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਧੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਫਿਟਕਾਰਿਆਂ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਭਟਕਦੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who are cursed by the Saints wander around lost.
ਪੇਡੁ ਮੁੰਢਾਹੂ ਕਟਿਆ; ਤਿਸੁ ਡਾਲ ਸੁਕੰਦੇ ॥੩੧॥

ਜਦ ਬ੍ਰਿਛ ਜੜ੍ਹਾ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਹਿਣੀਆਂ ਸੁੱਕ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
When the tree is cut off at its roots, the branches wither and die. ||31||

Salok, Fifth Mehl:
ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ. ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਿ੍ਰੜਾਇਆ; ਭੰਨਣ ਘੜਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ॥

ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਪੱਕਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਉਸਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਢਾਹੁਣ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ।
Guru Nanak implanted the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within me; He is All-powerful, to create and destroy.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ. ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲਹਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਤੂ; ਦੁਖੁ ਸਬਾਇਆ ਲਥੁ ॥੧॥

ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜਣਾ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੀ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖੜੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ।
Remember God forever, my friend, and all your suffering will disappear. ||1||

Fifth Mehl:
ਖੁਧਿਆਵੰਤੁ. ਨ ਜਾਣਈ; ਲਾਜ ਕੁਲਾਜ ਕੁਬੋਲੁ ॥

ਭੁਖਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਇਜ਼ਤ, ਬੇਇਜ਼ਤ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
The hungry person does not care about honor, dishonor or harsh words.
ਨਾਨਕੁ. ਮਾਂਗੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ; ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਸੰਜੋਗੁ ॥੨॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਯਾਚਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ! ਆਪਣੀ ਰਹਿਮਤ ਧਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਲੈ।
Nanak begs for the Name of the Lord; please grant Your Grace, and unite me with Yourself. ||2||

ਜੇਵੇਹੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਦਾ; ਤੇਵੇਹੇ ਫਲਤੇ ॥
jevehe karam kamaavadaa; tevehe falate |
ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਅਮਲ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਹੀ ਫਲ ਉਹ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
According to the deeds which one does, so are the fruits one obtains.
ਚਬੇ ਤਤਾ ਲੋਹ ਸਾਰੁ; ਵਿਚਿ ਸੰਘੈ ਪਲਤੇ ॥
chabe tataa loh saar; vich sanghai palate |
ਜੇਕਰ ਬੰਦਾ ਗਰਮ ਫੌਲਾਦੀ ਲੋਹ ਚੱਬੇ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਗਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਸਾੜ ਸੁੱਟਦਾ ਹੈ।
If someone chews on red-hot iron, his throat will be burned.
ਘਤਿ ਗਲਾਵਾਂ ਚਾਲਿਆ; ਤਿਨਿ ਦੂਤਿ ਅਮਲ ਤੇ ॥

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਕਰਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਬੱਬ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗੱਲ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਰੱਸਾ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਫਰਿਸ਼ਤਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਧੱਕ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The halter is put around his neck and he is led away, because of the evil deeds he has done.
ਕਾਈ ਆਸ, ਨ ਪੁੰਨੀਆ; ਨਿਤ ਪਰ ਮਲੁ ਹਿਰਤੇ ॥
kaaee aas, na puneea; nit par mal hirate |
ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਪੂਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੋਰਨਾ ਦੀ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
None of his desires are fulfilled; he continually steals the filth of others.
ਕੀਆ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ. ਅਕਿਰਤਘਣ; ਵਿਚਿ ਜੋਨੀ ਫਿਰਤੇ ॥

ਨਸ਼ੁਕਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਨੇਕੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਅਹਿਸਾਨਮੰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਟਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
The ungrateful wretch does not appreciate what he has been given; he wanders lost in reincarnation.
ਸਭੇ ਧਿਰਾਂ ਨਿਖੁਟੀਅਸੁ; ਹਿਰਿ ਲਈਅਸੁ, ਧਰ ਤੇ ॥
sabhe dhiraan nikhutteeas; hir leeas, dhar te |
ਜਦ ਇਸ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਉਸ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਖੁਸ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
He loses all support, when the Support of the Lord is taken away from him.
ਵਿਝਣ ਕਲਹ ਨ ਦੇਵਦਾ; ਤਾਂ ਲਇਆ ਕਰਤੇ ॥
vijhan kalah na devadaa; taan leaa karate |
ਉਹ ਲੜਾਈ ਦੀ ਅੱਗ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਝਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਿਰਜਣਹਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੇਟ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
He does not let the embers of strife die down, and so the Creator destroys him.
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਰਤੇ ਅਹੰਮੇਉ; ਝੜਿ. ਧਰਤੀ ਪੜਤੇ ॥੩੨॥
jo jo karate ahameo; jharr. dharatee parrate |32|
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਭੀ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਭੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਿਮੀ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who indulge in egotism crumble and fall to the ground. ||32||

ਸਲੋਕ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀਂ।
Salok, Third Mehl:
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ; ਬਿਬੇਕ ਬੁਧਿ ਹੋਇ ॥

ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਮਰਪਣ ਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਹਿਮ ਬੀਚਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਬੀਨ ਅਕਲ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਮਿਲੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh is blessed with spiritual wisdom and a discerning intellect.
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ; ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਾਰੁ ਪਰੋਇ ॥
har gun gaavai; hiradai haar paroe |
ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੀਰਤੀਆਂ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਿਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਾ ਪ੍ਰੋਦਾ ਹੈ।
He sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and weaves this garland into his heart.
ਪਵਿਤੁ ਪਾਵਨੁ, ਪਰਮ ਬੀਚਾਰੀ ॥
pavit paavan, param beechaaree |
ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰਾ ਦਾ ਮਹਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਉਚੀ ਸਮਝ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He becomes the purest of the pure, a being of supreme understanding.
ਜਿ ਓਸੁ ਮਿਲੈ; ਤਿਸੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੀ ॥
ji os milai; tis paar utaaree |
ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਤਾਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Whoever he meets, he saves and carries across.
ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ; ਬਾਸਨਾ ਸਮਾਣੀ ॥
antar har naam; baasanaa samaanee |
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਬੋਈ ਰਮੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
The fragrance of the Lord's Name permeates his being deep within.
ਹਰਿ ਦਰਿ ਸੋਭਾ; ਮਹਾ ਉਤਮ ਬਾਣੀ ॥
har dar sobhaa; mahaa utam baanee |
ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੱਤ ਆਬਰੂ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਮ ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਬੋਲਚਾਲ।
He is honored in the Court of the Lord, and his speech is the most sublime.
ਜਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸੁਣੈ; ਸੁ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਹਾਲੁ ॥
ji purakh sunai; su hoe nihaal |
ਜੋ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਪਰਮ ਪਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who hear him are delighted.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿਐ; ਪਾਇਆ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਮਾਲੁ ॥੧॥
naanak satigur miliai; paaeaa naam dhan maal |1|
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਰੱਬ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, meeting the True Guru, one obtains the wealth and property of the Naam. ||1||

ਚੋਥੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Fourth Mehl:
ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਜੀਅ ਕੀ ਸਾਰ. ਨ ਜਾਪੈ; ਕਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਭਾਵੈ ॥
satigur ke jeea kee saar. na jaapai; ki poorai satigur bhaavai |
ਕੋਈ ਜਣਾ ਭੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਨ ਦੀ ਦਸ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ।
The sublime state of the True Guru is not known; no one knows what pleases the Perfect True Guru.
ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾਂ ਅੰਦਰਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਰਤੈ; ਜੋ ਸਿਖਾਂ ਨੋ ਲੋਚੈ. ਸੋ ਗੁਰ ਖੁਸੀ ਆਵੈ ॥
gurasikhaan andar satiguroo varatai; jo sikhaan no lochai. so gur khusee aavai |
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰੂ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਮ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਉਸ ਉਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Deep within the hearts of His GurSikhs, the True Guru is pervading. The Guru is pleased with those who long for His Sikhs.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਆਖੈ, ਸੁ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵਨਿ, ਸੁ ਜਪੁ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ; ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾਂ ਕੀ ਘਾਲ, ਸਚਾ ਥਾਇ ਪਾਵੈ ॥
satigur aakhai, su kaar kamaavan, su jap kamaaveh; gurasikhaan kee ghaal, sachaa thaae paavai |
ਉਹ ਉਹ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਰਹਿਰਾਸ ਉਚਾਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਸੱਚਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਆਗਿਆ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ।
As the True Guru directs them, they do their work and chant their prayers. The True Lord accepts the service of His GurSikhs.
ਵਿਣੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਹੁਕਮੈ, ਜਿ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾਂ ਪਾਸਹੁ ਕੰਮੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਲੋੜੇ; ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰਸਿਖੁ ਫਿਰਿ ਨੇੜਿ. ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
vin satigur ke hukamai, ji gurasikhaan paasahu kam karaaeaa lorre; tis gurasikh fir nerr. na aavai |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਰੀਦ, ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ, ਜੋ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਫੁਰਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
But those who want the GurSikhs to work for them, without the Order of the True Guru - the Guru's Sikhs shall not come near them again.
ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਅਗੈ. ਕੋ ਜੀਉ ਲਾਇ ਘਾਲੈ; ਤਿਸੁ ਅਗੈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖੁ ਕਾਰ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥
gur satigur agai. ko jeeo laae ghaalai; tis agai gurasikh kaar kamaavai |
ਜੋ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਸੱਚੇ ਦਿਲੋ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਵਜਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who works diligently for the Guru, the True Guru - the GurSikhs work for him.
ਜਿ ਠਗੀ ਆਵੈ, ਠਗੀ ਉਠਿ ਜਾਇ; ਤਿਸੁ ਨੇੜੈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖੁ ਮੂਲਿ, ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
ji tthagee aavai, tthagee utth jaae; tis nerrai gurasikh mool, na aavai |
ਜੋ ਵਲ ਛਲ ਲਈ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਵਲ ਛਲ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਖੜਾ ਹੋ ਟੁਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਾਗੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮੁਰੀਦ ਕਦਾਚਿਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਲੱਗਦਾ।
One who comes to deceive, who rises up and goes out to deceive - the GurSikhs shall never come near him.
ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ; ਨਾਨਕੁ. ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਵੈ ॥ ਜਿ ਵਿਣੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਮਨੁ ਮੰਨੇ. ਕੰਮੁ ਕਰਾਏ; ਸੋ ਜੰਤੁ ਮਹਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥

ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਵਾਰਤਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਪੁਕਾਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਜੋ ਬਿਨਾ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਰੀਝਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਜ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਜੀਵ ਘਣਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Nanak proclaims and announces this wisdom of God. One who is not pleasing to the Mind of the True Guru may do his deeds, but that being will only suffer in terrible pain. ||2||

ਤੂੰ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ. ਅਤਿ ਵਡਾ; ਤੁਹਿ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਤੂੰ. ਵਡ ਵਡੇ ॥
toon sachaa saahib. at vaddaa; tuhi jevadd toon. vadd vadde |
ਤੂੰ ਹੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਮਹਾਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਹੈ। ਤੇਰੇ ਜਿੱਡਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਾਲ ਕੇਵਲ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਪਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਹੈ।
O True Lord and Master, You are so very great. As great as You are, You are the greatest of the great.
ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਲਹਿ. ਸੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਮਿਲੈ; ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਲੈਹਿ, ਲੇਖਾ ਛਡੇ ॥
jis toon meleh. so tudh milai; toon aape bakhas laihi, lekhaa chhadde |
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਉਣਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਕਿਤਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖਦਾ।
He alone is united with You, whom You unite with Yourself. You Yourself bless and forgive us, and tear up our accounts.
ਜਿਸ ਨੋ. ਤੂੰ ਆਪਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਦਾ; ਸੋ. ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੇ, ਮਨੁ ਗਡ ਗਡੇ ॥
jis no. toon aap milaaeidaa; so. satigur seve, man gadd gadde |
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਿਲ ਖੁਭੋ ਕੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਘਾਲ ਕਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
One whom You unite with Yourself, whole-heartedly serves the True Guru.
ਤੂੰ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਚੁ ਤੂ; ਸਭੁ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਚੰਮੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਹਡੇ ॥
toon sachaa saahib sach too; sabh jeeo pindd cham teraa hadde |
ਤੂੰ ਸਤਿ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਸੱਚਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ, ਦੇਹਿ ਖਲੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
You are the True One, the True Lord and Master; my soul, body, flesh and bones are all Yours.
ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਖੁ. ਤੂੰ ਸਚਿਆ; ਨਾਨਕ. ਮਨਿ ਆਸ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡ ਵਡੇ ॥੩੩॥੧॥ ਸੁਧੁ ॥

ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਰਖਿਆ ਕਰ ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਹੇ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਉਚੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੇਵਲ ਤੇਰੀ ਹੀ ਉਮੀਦ ਹੈ।
