ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਸਥਿਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਫਲ ਖਾ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਯੁਗਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੀਊਦਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
you shall live throughout the ages, eating the fruit of immortality. ||10||
ਦਸਮੀ; ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਹੋਇ ਅਨੰਦ ॥
dasamee; deh dis hoe anand |
ਦੱਸਵੀ ਥਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੀ ਪਾਸੀ ਹੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
On the tenth day of the lunar cycle, there is ecstasy in all directions.
ਛੂਟੈ ਭਰਮੁ; ਮਿਲੈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ॥
chhoottai bharam; milai gobind |
ਸੰਦੇਹ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।
Doubt is dispelled, and the Lord of the Universe is met.
ਜੋਤਿ ਸਰੂਪੀ; ਤਤ ਅਨੂਪ ॥
jot saroopee; tat anoop |
ਮਾਲਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਜੌਹਰ ਅਤੇ ਲਾਸਾਨੀ ਹੈ।
He is the Embodiment of light, the incomparable essence.
ਅਮਲ. ਨ ਮਲ ਨ; ਛਾਹ ਨਹੀ ਧੂਪ ॥੧੧॥

ਉਹ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਤੇ ਗੰਦਗੀ-ਰਹਿਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਥੇ ਉਹ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਛਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਧੁੱਪ ਨਹੀਂ।
He is stainless, without stain, beyond both sunshine and shade. ||11||
ਏਕਾਦਸੀ; ਏਕ ਦਿਸ ਧਾਵੈ ॥

ਗਿਆਰ੍ਹਵੀ ਤਿੱਥ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਜੇਕਰ ਇਨਸਾਨ, ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਇਕੋ ਹੀ ਪਾਸੇ ਵਲ ਦੌੜੇ,
On the eleventh day of the lunar cycle, if you run in the direction of the One,
ਤਉ ਜੋਨੀ ਸੰਕਟ; ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥
tau jonee sankatt; bahur na aavai |
ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਜੂਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਖੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਹਾਰਦਾ।
you will not have to suffer the pains of reincarnation again.
ਸੀਤਲ ਨਿਰਮਲ, ਭਇਆ ਸਰੀਰਾ ॥
seetal niramal, bheaa sareeraa |
ਠੰਢੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਦਾਗ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦੇਹਿ।
Your body will become cool, immaculate and pure.
ਦੂਰਿ ਬਤਾਵਤ; ਪਾਇਆ ਨੀਰਾ ॥੧੨॥
door bataavat; paaeaa neeraa |12|
ਰੱਬ ਜੋ ਦੁਰੇਡੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੇੜਿਓ ਹੀ ਪਾ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Lord was said to be far away, but He is found near at hand. ||12||
ਬਾਰਸਿ; ਬਾਰਹ ਉਗਵੈ ਸੂਰ ॥
baaras; baarah ugavai soor |
ਬਾਰ੍ਹਵੀ ਥਿੱਤ-ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਪੈਦੇ ਹਨ।
On the twelfth day of the lunar cycle, twelve suns rise.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ; ਬਾਜੇ ਅਨਹਦ ਤੂਰ ॥

ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਦੇ ਤੁਰਮ ਵੱਜਦੇ ਹਨ।
Day and night, the celestial bugles vibrate the unstruck melody.
ਦੇਖਿਆ; ਤਿਹੂੰ ਲੋਕ ਕਾ ਪੀਉ ॥
dekhiaa; tihoon lok kaa peeo |
ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਤਦ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਜਹਾਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ।
Then, one beholds the Father of the three worlds.
ਅਚਰਜੁ ਭਇਆ; ਜੀਵ ਤੇ ਸੀਉ ॥੧੩॥
acharaj bheaa; jeev te seeo |13|
ਅਸਚਰਜ ਗੱਲ ਬਣ ਆਈ ਹੈ, ਇਨਸਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
This is wonderful! The human being has become God! ||13||
ਤੇਰਸਿ; ਤੇਰਹ ਅਗਮ ਬਖਾਣਿ ॥
teras; terah agam bakhaan |
ਤੇਰ੍ਹਵੀ ਤਿੱਥ ਨੂੰ, ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ,
On the thirteenth day of the lunar cycle, the thirteen holy books proclaim
ਅਰਧ ਉਰਧ ਬਿਚਿ; ਸਮ ਪਹਿਚਾਣਿ ॥
aradh uradh bich; sam pahichaan |
ਕਿ ਪਾਤਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਸਿਆਣ।
that you must recognize the Lord in the nether regions of the underworld as well as the heavens.
ਨੀਚ ਊਚ ਨਹੀ ਮਾਨ ਅਮਾਨ ॥
neech aooch nahee maan amaan |
ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਉੱਚਾ ਜਾਂ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਹੀ ਇੱਜ਼ਤ ਵਾਲਾ ਜਾ ਬੇਇਜ਼ਤ ਹੈ।
There is no high or low, no honor or dishonor.
ਬਿਆਪਿਕ ਰਾਮ; ਸਗਲ ਸਾਮਾਨ ॥੧੪॥
biaapik raam; sagal saamaan |14|
ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਕ-ਰਸ ਰਮਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
The Lord is pervading and permeating all. ||14||
ਚਉਦਸਿ; ਚਉਦਹ ਲੋਕ ਮਝਾਰਿ ॥
chaudas; chaudah lok majhaar |
ਚੋਧਵੀ ਤਿੱਥ - ਚੌਦਾ ਪੁਰੀਆਂ,
On the fourteenth day of the lunar cycle, in the fourteen worlds
ਰੋਮ ਰੋਮ ਮਹਿ; ਬਸਹਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥
rom rom meh; baseh muraar |
ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਵਾਲ ਅੰਦਰ, ਹੰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਵਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
and on each and every hair, the Lord abides.
ਸਤ ਸੰਤੋਖ ਕਾ; ਧਰਹੁ ਧਿਆਨ ॥
sat santokh kaa; dharahu dhiaan |
ਆਪਣੀ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਸੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤੁਸ਼ਟਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਜੋੜ।
Center yourself and meditate on truth and contentment.
ਕਥਨੀ ਕਥੀਐ; ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨ ॥੧੫॥
kathanee katheeai; braham giaan |15|
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ਰ ਦੀ ਗਿਆਤ ਦੀ ਕਥਾ-ਵਾਰਤਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰ।
Speak the speech of God's spiritual wisdom. ||15||
ਪੂਨਿਉ; ਪੂਰਾ ਚੰਦ ਅਕਾਸ ॥
pooniau; pooraa chand akaas |
ਪੂਰਨਮਾਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ, ਅਸਮਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੰਨ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
On the day of the full moon, the full moon fills the heavens.
ਪਸਰਹਿ ਕਲਾ; ਸਹਜ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥
pasareh kalaa; sehaj paragaas |
ਇਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਨਰਮ ਜੇਹੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਫੈਲ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
Its power is diffused through its gentle light.
ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਮਧਿ; ਹੋਇ ਰਹਿਆ ਥੀਰ ॥
aad ant madh; hoe rahiaa theer |
ਆਰੰਭ, ਅਖੀਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪੱਕੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਥਿਰ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
In the beginning, in the end, and in the middle, God remains firm and steady.
ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਮਹਿ; ਰਮਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ॥੧੬॥
sukh saagar meh; rameh kabeer |16|
ਕਬੀਰ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
Kabeer is immersed in the ocean of peace. ||16||
ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

On Sunday, begin the devotional worship of the Lord,
ਕਾਇਆ ਮੰਦਰ; ਮਨਸਾ ਥੰਭ ॥
kaaeaa mandar; manasaa thanbh |
ਅਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਖ਼ਾਹਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਰੱਖ।
and restrain the desires within the temple of the body.
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਅਖੰਡ; ਸੁਰਹੀ ਜਾਇ ॥
ahinis akhandd; surahee jaae |
ਜਦ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਦੀ ਬਿਰਤੀ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਜੁੜੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ,
When your attention is focused day and night upon that imperishable place,
ਤਉ ਅਨਹਦ ਬੇਣੁ; ਸਹਜ ਮਹਿ ਬਾਇ ॥੧॥
tau anahad ben; sehaj meh baae |1|
ਤਾਂ ਵੀਣਾ, ਸ਼ਾਤੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਈਸ਼ਵਰੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।
then the celestial flutes play the unstruck melody in tranquil peace and poise. ||1||
ਸੋਮਵਾਰਿ; ਸਸਿ ਅੰਮਿ੍ਰਤੁ ਝਰੈ ॥
somavaar; sas amrit jharai |
ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਦਰਮੇ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਧਾਰਸ ਟਪਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
On Monday, the Ambrosial Nectar trickles down from the moon.
ਚਾਖਤ ਬੇਗਿ; ਸਗਲ ਬਿਖ ਹਰੈ ॥
chaakhat beg; sagal bikh harai |
ਜਦ ਚੱਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਫੋਰਨ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Tasting it, all poisons are removed in an instant.
ਬਾਣੀ ਰੋਕਿਆ. ਰਹੈ ਦੁਆਰ ॥
baanee rokiaa. rahai duaar |
ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਵਰਜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਮਨੂਆ ਦਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ,
Restrained by Gurbani, the mind remains indoors;
ਤਉ ਮਨੁ ਮਤਵਾਰੋ; ਪੀਵਨਹਾਰ ॥੨॥
tau man matavaaro; peevanahaar |2|
ਅਤੇ ਤਦੋਂ ਸੁਧਾਰਸ ਪਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖੀਵਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
drinking in this Nectar, it is intoxicated. ||2||
ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰੇ; ਲੇ ਮਾਹੀਤਿ ॥

ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਲੀਅਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਝਾਤੀ ਪਾ,
On Tuesday, understand reality;
ਪੰਚ ਚੋਰ ਕੀ; ਜਾਣੈ ਰੀਤਿ ॥
panch chor kee; jaanai reet |
ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਢੰਗ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ।
you must know the way the five thieves work.
ਘਰ ਛੋਡੇਂ; ਬਾਹਰਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
ghar chhodden; baahar jin jaae |
ਆਪਣੇ ਝੁੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰਵਾਰ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਨਾਂ ਭਟਕ,
Those who leave their own home to go out wandering
ਨਾਤਰੁ ਖਰਾ; ਰਿਸੈ ਹੈ ਰਾਇ ॥੩॥
naatar kharaa; risai hai raae |3|
ਨਹੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
shall feel the terrible wrath of the Lord, their King. ||3||
ਬੁਧਵਾਰਿ; ਬੁਧਿ ਕਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸ ॥
budhavaar; budh karai pragaas |
ਬੁਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਮਝ ਉੱਜਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਉੱਚਿੱਤ ਹੈ।
On Wednesday, one's understanding is enlightened.
ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕਮਲ ਮਹਿ; ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਬਾਸ ॥
hiradai kamal meh; har kaa baas |
ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਕੰਵਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਅਖਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ।
The Lord comes to dwell in the lotus of the heart.
ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ; ਦੋਊ ਏਕ ਸਮ ਧਰੈ ॥
gur mil; doaoo ek sam dharai |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਟ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਹੀ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਤੇ ਗ਼ਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਇਕਸਾਰ ਜਾਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Meeting the Guru, one comes to look alike upon pleasure and pain,
ਉਰਧ ਪੰਕ; ਲੈ ਸੂਧਾ ਕਰੈ ॥੪॥
auradh pank; lai soodhaa karai |4|
ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਮੂਧੇ ਕੰਵਲ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
and the inverted lotus is turned upright. ||4||
ਬਿ੍ਰਹਸਪਤਿ; ਬਿਖਿਆ ਦੇਇ ਬਹਾਇ ॥
brihasapat; bikhiaa dee bahaae |
ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪ ਧੋ ਸੁਟਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ।
On Thursday, wash off your corruption.
ਤੀਨਿ ਦੇਵ; ਏਕ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਾਇ ॥
teen dev; ek sang laae |
ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਸਨੂੰ ਇਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
Forsake the trinity, and attach yourself to the One God.
ਤੀਨਿ ਨਦੀ; ਤਹ ਤਿ੍ਰਕੁਟੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥
teen nadee; teh trikuttee maeh |
ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਦਰਿਆਵਾਂ (ਗਿਆਨ, ਕਰਮ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਤੀ) ਦੇ ਸੰਗਮ ਵਿੱਚ,
At the confluence of the three rivers of knowledge, right action and devotion, there,
ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ; ਕਸਮਲ ਧੋਵਹਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੫॥
ahinis; kasamal dhoveh naeh |5|
ਉਥੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਧੋਦਾ?
why not wash away your sinful mistakes? ||5||
ਸੁਕਿ੍ਰਤੁ ਸਹਾਰੈ; ਸੁ ਇਹ ਬ੍ਰਤਿ ਚੜੈ ॥
sukrit sahaarai; su ih brat charrai |
ਉਸ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਉਪਹਾਸ ਕਾਮਯਾਬੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਿਰੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਸਹਿਨ-ਸ਼ੀਲਤਾ ਦੀ ਕਮਾਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
On Friday, keep up and complete your fast;
ਅਨਦਿਨ; ਆਪਿ ਆਪ ਸਿਉ ਲੜੈ ॥
anadin; aap aap siau larrai |
ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਰਾਤ ਦਿਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
day and night, you must fight against your own self.
ਸੁਰਖੀ ਪਾਂਚਉ; ਰਾਖੈ ਸਬੈ ॥
surakhee paanchau; raakhai sabai |
ਜੇਕਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਬੂ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ,
If you restrain your five senses,
ਤਉ ਦੂਜੀ ਦਿ੍ਰਸਟਿ; ਨ ਪੈਸੈ ਕਬੈ ॥੬॥
tau doojee drisatt; na paisai kabai |6|
ਤਦ ਉਹ ਕਦਾਚਿੱਤ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰਸ ਵੱਲ ਝਾਤੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਵੇਗਾ।
then you shall not cast your glance on another. ||6||
ਥਾਵਰ; ਥਿਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਸੋਇ ॥
thaavar; thir kar raakhai soe |
ਸਨਿੱਚਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਸਥਿਰ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ,
On Saturday, keep the candle of God's Light
ਜੋਤਿ ਦੀ ਵਟੀ; ਘਟ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਇ ॥
jot dee vattee; ghatt meh joe |
ਹਰੀ ਦੇ ਨੂਰ ਦੀ ਬੱਤੀ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਤਰ ਆਤਮੇ ਹੈ,
Steady within your heart;
ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭੀਤਰਿ; ਭਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥
baahar bheetar; bheaa pragaas |
ਉਹ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਤੇ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਰੋਸ਼ਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
you will be enlightened, inwardly and outwardly.
ਤਬ ਹੂਆ; ਸਗਲ ਕਰਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਸੁ ॥੭॥
tab hooaa; sagal karam kaa naas |7|
ਤੇ ਤਦ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਅਮਲ ਮਿਟ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
All your karma will be erased. ||7||
