jo man raate; har rang laae |
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਿੱਤ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਰੰਗੀਜਿਆਂ ਹੈ,
Those being whose minds are imbued and drenched with the Lord's Love
ਤਿਨ ਕਾ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਥਾ; ਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
tin kaa janam maran dukh laathaa; te har daragah mile subhaae |1| rahaau |
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜੰਮਣ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਣ ਦੀ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੁਖੈਨ ਹੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।

ਸਬਦੁ ਚਾਖੈ; ਸਾਚਾ ਸਾਦੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
sabad chaakhai; saachaa saad paae |
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਸੁਆਦ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
One who has tasted the Shabad, obtains the true flavor.
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ; ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
har kaa naam; man vasaae |
ਅਤੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕਾ ਲੈਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Name of the Lord abides within his mind.
ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ; ਸਦਾ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰਿ ॥
har prabh; sadaa rahiaa bharapoor |
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਰੀਪੂਰਨ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
The Lord God is Eternal and All-pervading.
ਆਪੇ ਨੇੜੈ ਆਪੇ ਦੂਰਿ ॥੨॥

ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਦ ਹੀ ਦੁਰੇਡੇ।
He Himself is near, and He Himself is far away. ||2||
ਆਖਣਿ ਆਖੈ; ਬਕੈ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥
aakhan aakhai; bakai sabh koe |
ਸਾਰੇ ਲਫ਼ਜ਼ਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।
Everyone talks and speaks through speech;
ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਸੋਇ ॥
aape bakhas milaae soe |
ਉਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਖੁਦ ਮਾਫ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
the Lord Himself forgives, and unites us with Himself.
ਕਹਣੈ ਕਥਨਿ; ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਇ ॥
kahanai kathan; na paaeaa jaae |
ਕੇਵਲ ਆਖਣ ਤੇ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
By merely speaking and talking, He is not obtained.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ; ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੩॥
gur parasaad; vasai man aae |3|
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਆ ਕੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਟਿਕ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
By Guru's Grace, He comes to abide in the mind. ||3||
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ; ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇ ॥
guramukh; vichahu aap gavaae |
ਗੁਰੂ-ਸਮਰਪਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The Gurmukh eradicates his self-conceit from within.
ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ; ਮੋਹੁ ਚੁਕਾਇ ॥
har rang raate; mohu chukaae |
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
He is imbued with the Lord's Love, having discarded worldly attachment.
ਅਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ; ਗੁਰਸਬਦ ਵੀਚਾਰ ॥
at niramal; gurasabad veechaar |
ਉਹ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਰਮ ਪਵਿੱਤ੍ਰ ਬਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He contemplates the utterly Immaculate Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਨਾਨਕ; ਨਾਮਿ ਸਵਾਰਣਹਾਰ ॥੪॥੪॥੪੩॥

ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is our Salvation. ||4||4||43||
ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥

ਆਸਾ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Aasaa, Third Mehl:
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ ਲਗੇ; ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
doojai bhaae lage; dukh paaeaa |
ਹੋਰਸ (ਦੂਜੇ)ੇ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਉਠਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Attached to the love of duality, one only incurs pain.
ਬਿਨੁ ਸਬਦੈ; ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥
bin sabadai; birathaa janam gavaaeaa |
ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Without the Word of the Shabad, one's life is wasted away in vain.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵੈ; ਸੋਝੀ ਹੋਇ ॥
satigur sevai; sojhee hoe |
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ,
Serving the True Guru, understanding is obtained,
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ; ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਕੋਇ ॥੧॥
doojai bhaae; na laagai koe |1|
ਅਤੇ ਬੰਦਾ ਸੰਸਾਰੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਿਮੜਦਾ।
and then, one is not attached to the love of duality. ||1||
ਮੂਲਿ ਲਾਗੇ; ਸੇ ਜਨ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
mool laage; se jan paravaan |
ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਜੜ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Those who hold fast to their roots, become acceptable.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ; ਗੁਰਸਬਦੀ. ਹਰਿ. ਏਕੋ ਜਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਅੰਦਰ ਰੈਣ ਦਿਹੁੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਇਕ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਸਿੰਆਣ ਕਰ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
Night and day, they meditate within their hearts on the Lord's Name; through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, they know the One Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਡਾਲੀ ਲਾਗੈ; ਨਿਹਫਲੁ ਜਾਇ ॥
ddaalee laagai; nihafal jaae |
ਜੋ ਟਹਿਣੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਿਸਫਲ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
One who is attached to the branch, does not receive the fruits.
ਅੰਧਂੀ ਕੰਮੀ; ਅੰਧ ਸਜਾਇ ॥
andhanee kamee; andh sajaae |
ਅੰਨ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਅਮਲਾਂ ਲਈ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਡੰਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
For blind actions, blind punishment is received.
ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਅੰਧਾ; ਠਉਰ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
manamukh andhaa; tthaur na paae |
ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਅਧਰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ।
The blind, self-willed manmukh finds no place of rest.
ਬਿਸਟਾ ਕਾ ਕੀੜਾ; ਬਿਸਟਾ ਮਾਹਿ ਪਚਾਇ ॥੨॥
bisattaa kaa keerraa; bisattaa maeh pachaae |2|
ਉਹ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਮ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਗਲ ਸੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
He is a maggot in manure, and in manure he shall rot away. ||2||
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ; ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
gur kee sevaa; sadaa sukh paae |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਟਹਿਲ ਸੇਵਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ,
Serving the Guru, everlasting peace is obtained.
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ; ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ॥
santasangat mil; har gun gaae |
ਅਤੇ ਸਾਧ-ਸਮਾਗਮ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਕੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Joining the True Congregation, the Sat Sangat, the Glorious Praises of the Lord are sung.
ਨਾਮੇ ਨਾਮਿ ਕਰੇ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥
naame naam kare veechaar |
ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਸਿਧ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ,
One who contemplates the Naam, the Name of the Lord,
ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ; ਕੁਲ ਉਧਰਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੩॥
aap tarai; kul udharanahaar |3|
ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਤਰ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੰਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਤਾਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
saves himself, and his family as well. ||3||
ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ; ਨਾਮਿ ਵਜਾਏ ॥
gur kee baanee; naam vajaae |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਨ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ ਗੂੰਜਦਾ ਹੈ।
Through the Word of the Guru's Bani, the Naam resounds;
ਨਾਨਕ; ਮਹਲੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਘਰੁ ਪਾਏ ॥
naanak; mehal sabad ghar paae |
ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਇਨਸਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਸਾਈਂ ਦੀ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
O Nanak, through the Word of the Shabad, one finds the Mansion of the Lord's Presence within the home of the heart.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਸਤ ਸਰਿ; ਹਰਿ ਜਲਿ ਨਾਇਆ ॥
guramat sat sar; har jal naaeaa |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤਾਬੇ ਤੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਤੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਇਸ਼ਨਾਨ ਕਰ,
Under Guru's Instruction, bathe in the Pool of Truth, in the Water of the Lord;
ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ; ਸਭੁ ਦੁਰਤੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੫॥੪੪॥
duramat mail; sabh durat gavaaeaa |4|5|44|
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਮੰਦੀ ਅਕਲ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਧੋਤੀ ਜਾਊਗੀ।
thus the filth of evil-mindedness and sin shall all be washed away. ||4||5||44||
ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥

ਆਸਾ ਤੀਜੀ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
Aasaa, Third Mehl:
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਮਰਹਿ; ਮਰਿ ਮਰਣੁ ਵਿਗਾੜਹਿ ॥
manamukh mareh; mar maran vigaarreh |
ਮਨਮੁਖ ਜਦ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਮੰਦੀ ਮੌਤੇ ਮਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
The self-willed manmukhs are dying; they are wasting away in death.
ਦੂਜੈ ਭਾਇ; ਆਤਮ ਸੰਘਾਰਹਿ ॥
doojai bhaae; aatam sanghaareh |
ਹੋਰਸ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
In the love of duality, they murder their own souls.
ਮੇਰਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ; ਵਿਗੂਤਾ ॥
meraa meraa kar kar; vigootaa |
ਇਹ ਮੈਡਾਂ ਹੈ, ਇਹ ਮੈਡਾਂ ਹੈ", ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਉਹ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Crying out, Mine, mine!, they are ruined.
ਆਤਮੁ ਨ ਚੀਨੑੈ; ਭਰਮੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਸੂਤਾ ॥੧॥
aatam na cheenai; bharamai vich sootaa |1|
ਉਹ ਪਰਮ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਹਿਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੁੱਤੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
They do not remember their souls; they are asleep in superstition. ||1||
ਮਰੁ ਮੁਇਆ; ਸਬਦੇ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
mar mueaa; sabade mar jaae |
ਜੋ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਅਸਲੀ ਮੌਤ ਮਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He alone dies a real death, who dies in the Word of the Shabad.
ਉਸਤਤਿ ਨਿੰਦਾ. ਗੁਰਿ, ਸਮ ਜਾਣਾਈ; ਇਸੁ ਜੁਗ ਮਹਿ ਲਾਹਾ, ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਲੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ausatat nindaa. gur, sam jaanaaee; is jug meh laahaa, har jap lai jaae |1| rahaau |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਪਮਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਲਜਾਮ ਇਕ ਸਮਾਨ ਹਨ। ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਉਚਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਫਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
The Guru has inspired me to realize, that praise and slander are one and the same; in this world, the profit is obtained by chanting the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
ਨਾਮ ਵਿਹੂਣ; ਗਰਭ ਗਲਿ ਜਾਇ ॥
naam vihoon; garabh gal jaae |
ਜੋ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਲ ਸੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
Those who lack the Naam, the Name of the Lord, are dissolved within the womb.
ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ; ਦੂਜੈ ਲੋਭਾਇ ॥
birathaa janam; doojai lobhaae |
ਬੇਫ਼ਾਇਦਾ ਹੈ ਆਗਮਨ ਉਸ ਦਾ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਸ (ਮਾਇਆ) ਨੇ ਲੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Useless is the birth of those who are lured by duality.
ਨਾਮ ਬਿਹੂਣੀ; ਦੁਖਿ ਜਲੈ ਸਬਾਈ ॥
naam bihoonee; dukh jalai sabaaee |
ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਗੈਰ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੜ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
Without the Naam, all are burning in pain.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ; ਬੂਝ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੨॥
satigur poorai; boojh bujhaaee |2|
ਪੂਰਨ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸਮਝ ਦਰਸਾਈ ਹੈ।
The Perfect True Guru has given me this understanding. ||2||
ਮਨੁ ਚੰਚਲੁ; ਬਹੁ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਇ ॥
man chanchal; bahu chottaa khaae |
ਚੁਲਬਲਾ ਮਨ ਘਣੇਰੀਆਂ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਸਹਾਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
The fickle mind is struck down so many times.
ਏਥਹੁ ਛੁੜਕਿਆ; ਠਉਰ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥
ethahu chhurrakiaa; tthaur na paae |
(ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜਨਮ ਦਾ) ਇਹ ਅਉਸਰ ਗੁਆ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਣੀ।
Having lost this opportunity, no place of rest shall be found.
ਗਰਭ ਜੋਨਿ; ਵਿਸਟਾ ਕਾ ਵਾਸੁ ॥
garabh jon; visattaa kaa vaas |
ਉਹ ਬੱਚੇਦਾਨੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਵੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ।
Cast into the womb of reincarnation, the mortal lives in manure;
ਤਿਤੁ ਘਰਿ; ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਕਰੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥੩॥
tit ghar; manamukh kare nivaas |3|
ਐਹੋ ਜੇਹੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕੂਲ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਵਾਸਾ ਅਖ਼ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
in such a home, the self-willed manmukh takes up residence. ||3||
ਅਪੁਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਉ; ਸਦਾ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
apune satigur kau; sadaa bal jaaee |
ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਵੰਞਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
I am forever a sacrifice to my True Guru;
ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ; ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮਨੁੱਖੀ ਨੂਰ, ਪਰਮਨੂਰ ਨਾਲ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
the light of the Gurmukh blends with the Divine Light of the Lord.
ਨਿਰਮਲ ਬਾਣੀ; ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸਾ ॥
niramal baanee; nij ghar vaasaa |
ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਜ਼ਰੀਏ, ਇਨਸਾਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿੱਜ ਦੇ ਧਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ!
Through the Immaculate Bani of the Word, the mortal dwells within the home of his own inner self.
ਨਾਨਕ. ਹਉਮੈ ਮਾਰੇ; ਸਦਾ ਉਦਾਸਾ ॥੪॥੬॥੪੫॥

ਨਾਨਕ, ਜੋ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਵੈ-ਹੰਗਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਹੀ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ਹੈ।

ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਗੋਲਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤੀ ਗਵਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
