ਮੇਰਾ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਤੇ ਡਰ ਨਵਿਰਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨੀ-ਰਹਿਤ ਕਰ ਦਿਤਾ ਹੈ।
Dispelling my doubts and fears, the Guru has rid me of hatred.
ਗੁਰ; ਮਨ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਪੂਰਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥

ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਦੀ ਊਮੈਦ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰ ਦਿਤੀ ਹੈ।
The Guru has fulfilled the desires of my mind. ||4||
ਜਿਨਿ ਨਾਉ ਪਾਇਆ; ਸੋ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
jin naau paaeaa; so dhanavantaa jeeo |
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਅਮੀਰ ਹੈ।
One who has obtained the Name is wealthy.
ਜਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ; ਸੁ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
jin prabh dhiaaeaa; su sobhaavantaa jeeo |
ਸਸ਼ੋਭਤ ਹੈ ਉਹ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
One who meditates on God is glorified.
ਜਿਸੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਤਿ; ਤਿਸੁ ਸਭ ਸੁਕਰਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
jis saadhoo sangat; tis sabh sukaranee jeeo |
ਸ਼੍ਰੇਸ਼ਟ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਰਮ, ਜੋ ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਜੁੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
Sublime are all the actions of those who join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ; ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥੧॥੧੬੬॥

Come to me, O my Beloved Lord.
ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨਸੁ; ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥

ਰਾਤੀ ਤੇ ਦਿਨ ਹਰ ਸੁਆਸ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Night and day, with each and every breath, I think of You.
ਸੰਤ ਦੇਉ ਸੰਦੇਸਾ; ਪੈ ਚਰਣਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
sant deo sandesaa; pai charanaare jeeo |
ਹੈ ਸਾਧੂਓ! ਮੇਰਾ ਇਹ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਹਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪੁਚਾ ਦੇਣਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰੀ ਪੈਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
O Saints, give Him this message; I fall at Your Feet.
ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ; ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਤਰੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ?
Without You, how can I be saved? ||1||
ਸੰਗਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ; ਮੈ ਕਰੇ ਅਨੰਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
sang tumaarai; mai kare anandaa jeeo |
ਤੇਰੀ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਾਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
In Your Company, I am in ecstasy.
ਵਣਿ ਤਿਣਿ ਤਿ੍ਰਭਵਣਿ; ਸੁਖ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
van tin tribhavan; sukh paramaanandaa jeeo |
ਤੂੰ ਜੰਗਲ, ਬਨਾਸਪਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਜਹਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਰਸੰਨਤਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
In the forest, the fields and the three worlds, there is peace and supreme bliss.
ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ; ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਬਿਗਸੰਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
sej suhaavee; ihu man bigasandaa jeeo |
ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੇਜ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਲਗਦੀ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਆਤਮਾ ਖਿੜ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
My bed is beautiful, and my mind blossoms forth in ecstasy.
ਪੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ; ਇਹੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਲਹੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
pekh darasan; ihu sukh laheeai jeeo |2|
ਤੇਰਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ!
Beholding the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, I have found this peace. ||2||
ਚਰਣ ਪਖਾਰਿ; ਕਰੀ ਨਿਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
charan pakhaar; karee nit sevaa jeeo |
ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਚਰਨ ਧੋਂਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਵਜਾਉਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
I wash Your Feet, and constantly serve You.
ਪੂਜਾ ਅਰਚਾ ਬੰਦਨ ਦੇਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
poojaa arachaa bandan devaa jeeo |
ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਪਤੀ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਮਾਉਂਦੀ, ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਫੁਲ ਭੇਟ ਤੇ ਨਮਸ਼ਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
O Divine Lord, I worship and adore You; I bow down before You.
ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸੁ; ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਲੇਵਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
daasan daas; naam jap levaa jeeo |
ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੋਲਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਂਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਣ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ।
I am the slave of Your slaves; I chant Your Name.
ਬਿਨਉ; ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਕਹੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

ਹੇ ਸਾਧੂਓ! ਮੇਰੀ ਇਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਕੋਲ ਵਰਨਣ ਕਰ ਦੇਣੀ।
I offer this prayer to my Lord and Master. ||3||
ਇਛ ਪੁੰਨੀ ਮੇਰੀ; ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
eichh punee meree; man tan hariaa jeeo |
ਮੇਰੀ ਕਾਮਨਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਸਰਸਬਜ਼ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
My desires are fulfilled, and my mind and body are rejuvenated.
ਦਰਸਨ ਪੇਖਤ; ਸਭ ਦੁਖ ਪਰਹਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
darasan pekhat; sabh dukh parahariaa jeeo |
ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਾ ਦੀਦਾਰ ਦੇਖਣ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁਖੜੇ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Beholding the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, all my pains have been taken away.
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ; ਜਪੇ ਜਪਿ ਤਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
har har naam; jape jap tariaa jeeo |
ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਆਰਾਧਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਰ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ।
Chanting and meditating on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, I have been saved.
ਇਹੁ ਅਜਰੁ. ਨਾਨਕ; ਸੁਖੁ ਸਹੀਐ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੨॥੧੬੭॥

ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਨਾਂ-ਕਾਬਲ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ ਪਰਮ ਅਨੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਬ੍ਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
Nanak endures this unendurable celestial bliss. ||4||2||167||

sun sun saajan; man mit piaare jeeo |
ਸ੍ਰਵਣੁ, ਸ੍ਰਵਣੁ ਕਰ ਹੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨੀ ਮਿੱਤ੍ਰ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਠੜਾ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
Listen, listen, O my friend and companion, O Beloved of my mind:
ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ; ਇਹੁ ਜੀਉ ਭਿ. ਵਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
man tan teraa; ihu jeeo bhi. vaare jeeo |
ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਤੇ ਦੇਹਿ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਜਿੰਦ ਜਾਨ ਭੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੋਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹੈ।
my mind and body are Yours. This life is a sacrifice to You as well.
ਵਿਸਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ; ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਅਧਾਰੇ ਜੀਉ ॥
visar naahee prabh; praan adhaare jeeo |
ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨ ਭੁਲਾਂ, ਹੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ! ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦੜੀ ਦਾ ਆਸਰਾ ਹੈ।
May I never forget God, the Support of the breath of life.
ਸਦਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥
sadaa teree saranaaee jeeo |1|
ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
I have come to Your Eternal Sanctuary. ||1||
ਜਿਸੁ ਮਿਲਿਐ; ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਭਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
jis miliai; man jeevai bhaaee jeeo |
ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਸੁਰਜੀਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਵੀਰ!
Meeting Him, my mind is revived, O Siblings of Destiny.
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ; ਸੋ. ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
gur parasaadee; so. har har paaee jeeo |
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
By Guru's Grace, I have found the Lord, Har, Har.
ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ; ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਆ ਜਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥
sabh kichh prabh kaa; prabh keea jaaee jeeo |
ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੀ ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਥਾਂ ਹਨ।
All things belong to God; all places belong to God.
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ; ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥
prabh kau; sad bal jaaee jeeo |2|
ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਉਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਹਾਂ।
I am forever a sacrifice to God. ||2||
ਏਹੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ; ਜਪੈ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
ehu nidhaan; japai vaddabhaagee jeeo |
ਭਾਰੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਇਸ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨੇ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
Very fortunate are those who meditate on this treasure.
ਨਾਮ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ; ਏਕ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਜੀਉ ॥
naam niranjan; ek liv laagee jeeo |
ਉਹ ਇਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
They enshrine love for the Naam, the Name of the One Immaculate Lord.
ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ; ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥
gur pooraa paaeaa; sabh dukh mittaaeaa jeeo |
ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਪੈਣ ਤੇ, ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਤਕਲੀਫਾਂ ਰਫਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
Finding the Perfect Guru, all suffering is dispelled.
ਆਠ ਪਹਰ; ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥
aatth pehar; gun gaaeaa jeeo |3|
ਸਾਰਾ ਦਿਹਾੜਾ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਾ ਜੱਸ ਗਾਇਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
Twenty-four hours a day, I sing the Glories of God. ||3||
ਰਤਨ ਪਦਾਰਥ; ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
ratan padaarath; har naam tumaaraa jeeo |
ਜਵਾਹਿਰਾਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਹੈ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ, ਹੇ ਮਾਲਕ!
Your Name is the treasure of jewels, Lord.
ਤੂੰ ਸਚਾ ਸਾਹੁ; ਭਗਤੁ ਵਣਜਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
toon sachaa saahu; bhagat vanajaaraa jeeo |
ਤੂੰ ਸਚਾ ਸ਼ਾਹੂਕਾਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੇਰਾ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਗੁਮਾਸ਼ਤਾ ਵਾਪਾਰੀ ਹੈ।
You are the True Banker; Your devotee is the trader.
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਰਾਸਿ; ਸਚੁ ਵਾਪਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥
har dhan raas; sach vaapaaraa jeeo |
ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸੁਦਾਗਰੀ, ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਪੂੰਜੀ ਹੈ।
True is the trade of those who have the wealth of the Lord's assets.
ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ; ਸਦ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੩॥੧੬੮॥

ਗੋਲਾ ਨਾਨਕ, ਸਦੀਵ ਹੀ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਉਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਤੇਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਬੜਾ ਫ਼ਖ਼ਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਕਰਤਾਰ। ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਰੇ ਫ਼ਖ਼ਰ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਹੈ।
I am so proud of You, O Creator; I am so proud of You.
ਜੋਰਿ ਤੁਮਾਰੈ. ਸੁਖਿ ਵਸਾ; ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ਤੇਰੀ ਤਾਕਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਰਾਮ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਸੱਚਾ ਨਾਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਉਪਰ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
Through Your Almighty Power, I dwell in peace. The True Word of the Shabad is my banner and insignia. ||1||Pause||
ਸਭੇ ਗਲਾ ਜਾਤੀਆ; ਸੁਣਿ ਕੈ ਚੁਪ ਕੀਆ ॥
sabhe galaa jaateea; sun kai chup keea |
ਇਨਸਾਨ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਛ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਖਾਮੋਸ਼ (ਲਾ ਪਰਵਾਹ) ਹੋ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
He hears and knows everything, but he keeps silent.
ਕਦ ਹੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ. ਨ ਲਧੀਆ; ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੜਿਆ ॥੧॥
